''Crooked Shadows'' is the seventh studio album by American Rock music, rock band Dashboard Confessional. It was released on February 9, 2018 through Fueled by Ramen and Dine Alone Records. It is their first studio album in nine years, following 2009's ''Alter the Ending''. The album debuted at number 53 on the Billboard 200, ''Billboard'' 200, as well as number four on both the ''Billboard'' Rock Albums and Alternative Albums charts. Release On November 15, 2017, "We Fight" premiered on Beats 1. Alongside this, ''Crooked Shadows'' was announced for release in February the following year. On December 18, a music video was released for "Belong", directed by Joe Zohar. Two days later, a music video was released for "We Fight", directed by David Mack. Dashboard Confessional is an American rock band from Boca Raton, Florida, led by singer Chris Carrabba. The name of the band is derived from the songThe Sharp Hint of New Tears off their debut album, ''The Swiss Army Romance''. History Early history (1999–2002) Dashboard Confessional's first recording was the 2000 album ''The Swiss Army Romance'', initially a solo side project of Chris Carrabba while he was in the band Further Seems Forever. Against the Current (often abbreviated as ATC) is an American pop-rock band from Poughkeepsie, New York, formed in 2011. The band currently consists of lead vocalist Chrissy Costanza, guitarist Dan Gow, and drummer Will Ferri. Christina Nicola Costanza (born August 23, 1995) is an American singer, songwriter, and musician. She is best known as the lead vocalist and primary songwriter of the pop rock band Against The Current. Early life Costanza was born on August 23, 1995, in New Jersey into an Italian American family. She has a younger brother named Michael. Growing up, it was one of her dreams to become a musician. She met current band members Dan Gow and Will Ferri through a mutual friend.
