Alexander Crombie FRS (1760–1840) was a Scottish Presbyterian minister, schoolmaster and philosopher. Biography He was born in Aberdeen on 17 July 1760, the son of Thomas Crombie. "He left three sons, Alexander Crombie, Esquire M.A. of Trinity College, Cambridge and a Barrister-at-Law of Lincoln's Inn, now resident at Phesdo House in Kincardineshire; Lewis Crombie, Esq, a Solicitor, and one of the Baillies of Aberdeen; Thomas Crombie, Esq, Major in the 60th Regiment on Foot, and one daughter, Jane, married in 1823 to Captain H.A. Crombie Settlement is a Canadian rural community in Victoria County, New Brunswick. Overview Some current residents of Crombie Settlement claim that the settlement was founded by a man named John Crombie, not to be confused the founder of Crombie, a clothing line. The area was once the site of several family-owned farms and the settlement's early period was characterised by extensive lumbering. Crombie Settlement is situated along Highway 108 at the base of Geneau Mountain. Crombie Settlement is located between Blue Bell, Hazeldean and Sisson Ridge. Thomas Crombie Schelling (April 14, 1921 – December 13, 2016) was an American economist and professor of foreign policy, national security, nuclear strategy, and arms control at the School of Public Policy at University of Maryland, College Park. Anthony John Kronenberg (27 August 1925 – 18 October 1999), known professionally as Tony Crombie, was an English jazz drummer, pianist, bandleader, and composer. He was regarded as one of the finest English jazz drummers and bandleaders, an occasional but capable pianist and vibraphonist, and an energizing influence on the British jazz scene over six decades. Noel Crombie
Geoffrey Noel Crombie (born 17 April 1953) is a New Zealand percussionist and former member of the band Split Enz. He fulfilled multiple roles including costume and hair designer, singer, album cover designer, and music video director. Prior to Split Enz, Crombie worked as a postal assistant and was also an artist. He attended Mana College and then moved to Auckland to study art at Elam School of Fine Arts. For the album '' Time and Tide'', Crombie took over the role of drummer, though a year later returned to percussion, with Paul Hester becoming Split Enz's drummer. He is particularly remembered for playing spoon solos during Split Enz live shows. Lillian Crombie (born 1958) is an Aboriginal Australian actress and dancer, known for her work on stage, film and television. Early life and education Lillian Crombie was born in 1958. She is of the Pitjantjatjara/ Yankunytjatjara people of central Australia, but was taken from her parents at the age of seven and never saw them again. She grew up in a loving home with foster parents in Port Pirie, South Australia. She trained in classical ballet at the Port Pirie Ballet School, before winning a scholarship to Dance Concert Limited in Sydney, which started at the beginning of 1975, when she was 16. He was noted for his contributions to research on competition between species before turning to history. Jamie Crombie (born September 13, 1965 in Vermont, United States) is a former professional male squash (sport), squash player who represented Canada and later the United States during his career. He represented Canada at the World Team Squash Championships in each of 1985, 1987, 1989, 1991, 1993 and 1995. He reached a career-high PSA ranking of World No. 32 in March 1995. He was a member of the Canadian National Team for a remarkable 15 years from 1984 to 1999.
