The Croatia men's national volleyball team represents Croatia in international volleyball competitions and friendly matches. It is governed by the Croatian Volleyball Federation. Croatian Volleyball Federation
The Croatian Volleyball Federation ( hr, Hrvatski odbojkaški savez, HOS) is the governing body of volleyball in Croatia. It is based in Zagreb. It organizes the following volleyball leagues: * 1A Men's Volleyball League * 1B Men's Volleyball League * 1A Women's Volleyball League * 1B Women's Volleyball League It also organizes the Croatian national volleyball team and the Croatian national women's volleyball team. Volleyball At The Summer Olympics
Volleyball has been part of the Summer Olympics program for both men and women consistently since 1964. Brazil, the United States and the former Soviet Union are the only teams to win multiple gold medals at the men's tournament since its introduction. The remaining six editions of the Men's Olympic Volleyball Tournament were won each by a different country including Japan, Poland, Netherlands, Russia, France, and the defunct Yugoslavia. 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship
The 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship was the 19th staging of the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship, contested by the senior men's national teams of the members of the ' (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The final tournament was held in Italy and Bulgaria from 9 to 30 September 2018. For the first time, the tournament was jointly-hosted by more than one country. The final six was hosted by Italy at the Pala Alpitour in Turin. Poland defended their world title, defeating the reigning Olympic champions Brazil in straight sets at a repeat of the 2014 final. This was Poland's third title overall, and the third time in the last four editions of the World Championship that Brazil and Poland contested the final. 2014 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship
The 2014 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship was held in Poland from 30 August to 21 September 2014. The tournament featured 24 teams to determine the world champions in men's volleyball. In addition to the host nation Poland, 23 teams qualified for the tournament by means of continental and regional competitions. The matches took place in seven venues across seven Polish cities, with the final being held at Spodek, Katowice. The tournament was won by the host country Poland, who beat Brazil (who won the previous three titles) in the final. Poland became the third team in the history of the competition to be crowned as champions in their own country, joining the Soviet Union (1952 and 1962) and Czechoslovakia (1966). 563,263 fans watched the matches during the 18-day event, smashing the previous records in the competition. 2010 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship
The 2010 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship was held in Italy from 25 September to 10 October 2010. The tournament featured 24 teams to determine the world champions in men's volleyball. In addition to 2006 champion Brazil and host nation Italy, 22 teams qualified for the tournament by means of continental and regional competitions. The matches took place in ten venues across ten Italian cities, with the final being held at the PalaLottomatica, Rome. The tournament was won by Brazil, who beat Cuba in final. Brazil won their third straight world championship having won previously in 2002 and 2006. The podium was completed by Serbia who defeated Italy in the 3rd place match. Brazilian wing-spiker Murilo Endres was named the tournament MVP. Brazil's victory continued their eight-year period of domination of world volleyball. 2006 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship
The 2006 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship was held in Japan from 17 November to 3 December 2006. Like the previous edition, 24 teams participated in the tournament. Brazil won the Tournament (retaining their championship title), defeating Poland 3:0 in the final match. Bulgaria placed 3rd, defeating Serbia and Montenegro 3:1 in the 3rd place match. The Polish team dedicated this achievement to the deceased Polish volleyball player Arkadiusz Gołaś. Men's Junior Volleyball World Championship
The FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship, called the FIVB Volleyball Men's Junior World Championship between 2007 and 2011, is the world championship of volleyball for male players under the age of 21 organized by ''Fédération Internationale de Volleyball'' ( FIVB). The first edition was staged in 1977 in Brazil and tournaments have been played every four years for the first three editions and every two years since then. The most recent tournament was hosted by Bahrain in the city of Manama and won by Iran. Russia is the most successful nation in the tournament's history, with six titles and three runners-up. Brazil is the second most successful with four titles and six runners-up. A corresponding tournament for female players is the FIVB Volleyball Women's U21 World Championship.
