Her father, Dan Iordachescu, was a baritone who sang professionally in opera houses throughout Europe. Her mother, Irina Bora Iordachescu, was a television actress. Her sister, Irina, is an opera singer. She graduated from the Academy of Music Bucharest in 1990. There, he received his master's degree in Symphonic and Opera conducting. Career Born in Aix-en-Provence, after studying piano, horn and timpani, Diederich studied writing at the conservatories of Toulouse and Rennes, and studied conducting with Louis Fourestier and Jean-Sébastien Béreau. A prize-winner at the Conservatoire de Paris, he won two international conducting prizes, in Italy and Poland. In 1975, he began his professional career as an assistant conductor to Serge Baudo at the Opéra national de Lyon, then in 1978 as assistant conductor to Jean-Claude Casadesus at the Orchestre national de Lille. The Romanian Athenaeum ( ro, Ateneul Român) is a concert hall in the center of Bucharest, Romania, and a landmark of the Romanian capital city. Opened in 1888, the ornate, domed, circular building is the city's most prestigious concert hall and home of the "George Enescu" Philharmonic and of the George Enescu Festival.
