The 2018–19 Argentine Primera B Nacional was the 34th season of the Argentine second division. The season began on 25 August 2018 and ended on 8 June 2019. Twenty-five teams competed in the league, seventeen returning from the 2017–18 season, four teams that were relegated from Primera División and two teams promoted from Federal A and B Metropolitana. Competition format Twenty-five teams played each other once for a total of twenty-four matches each. The champion earns promotion to the Primera División. The teams placed from 2nd to 9th place competed in the "Torneo Reducido" for the second promotion berth after the regular season ended. Primera Nacional (usually called simply Nacional B, in English "National B Division", and known as Primera B Nacional until the 2019–20 season) is the second division of the Argentine football league system. The competition is made up of 37 teams. It is played by teams from all over the country. Clubs from Buenos Aires surroundings, as well as some from Santa Fe Province, are promoted from or relegated to the Primera B Metropolitana ("Metropolitan B Division") while for teams from the other provinces the Torneo Federal A ("Federal A Tournament") is the next level down. Club Villa Dálmine is an Argentine football club from Campana, Buenos Aires Province. The team currently plays in Primera B Nacional, the second level of the Argentine football league system. Due to a financial crisis, the club was named "Club Atlético Campana" between 1993 and February 2000, after which it reassumed its original and current name. History At the end of the 1950s the "Dálmine SAFTA" factory, sited in the city of Campana, Buenos Aires Province, founded a social club with the purpose to allow its employees to practise sports.
