Cristian Dorel Scutaru (born 13 April 1987 ) is a Romanian footballer who plays as a defender for Liga IV side CSC Peciu Nou. Club career Early career Scutaru began his youth career at CSM Reșița. His former coach, Ioan Sdrobiș said that the young and solid defender is poised to become the next Chivu, whom he had also trained while still a youngster. Reșița
Reșița (; german: link=no, Reschitz; hu, Resicabánya; hr, Ričica; cz, Rešice; sr, Решица/Rešica; tr, Reşçe) is a city in western Romania and the capital of Caraș-Severin County. It is located in the Banat region. The city had a population of 73,282 in 2011. Etymology The name of ''Reșița'' might come from the Latin ''recitia'', meaning "cold spring", as the historian Nicolae Iorga once suggested, presuming that the Romans gave this name to Resita, from a water spring on the Doman valley. A much more plausibile version, according to Iorgu Iordan, would be that the name is actually coming from a Slavic word: people living in the neighbouring village of Carașova 15 km away, referring to this place, that in those days was a similar village to theirs, as being "u rečice" (at the creek). Cristian Chivu
Cristian Eugen Chivu (; born 26 October 1980) is a Romanian professional football manager and former player who is the head coach of Inter Milan's under-19 side. A defender, he began his career with hometown club CSM Reșița before moving to FC Universitatea Craiova in 1998, leaving Romania to join Dutch club Ajax a season later. His performances as the captain of Ajax inspired an €18 million transfer to Roma in 2003. Chivu won the Coppa Italia in his last of four seasons in Rome before a transfer to Inter Milan, where he spent the rest of his career before retiring in 2014. After recovering from a fractured skull, Chivu wore a distinctive protective headgear, similar to Petr Čech's, from 2010 onwards. His honours at Inter included a treble of the Italian league, domestic cup, and the UEFA Champions League in 2010. 2014–15 Liga II
The 2014–15 Liga II was the 75th season of the Liga II, the second tier of the Romanian football league system. The 23 teams were divided into two series (with 12 and 11 teams, respectively). The regular season was played in a round-robin tournament. The first six teams from each series played a play-off for promotion to Liga I. The teams placed 7th to 12th played in a Relegation play-out. The first team in each series was promoted at the end of the season to the Liga I, and the teams placed below the 10th place were relegated to the Liga III. Teams At the end of 2013-14 season, Iași, Rapid București from Seria I and ASA, Universitatea Craiova from Seria II were promoted to Liga I. 2012 Supercupa României
The 2012 Supercupa României was the 14th edition of Romania's season opener cup competition. The game was contested between Liga I title holders, CFR Cluj, and Romanian Cup winners, Dinamo București. For the first time in history, the Supercup was played at Arena Națională, the newly stadium built in Bucharest. Dinamo won the game after penalties. After regular time the game ended 1–1 after goals of Diogo Valente, who opened the score for Cluj, and George Țucudean, who equalised in the second half. CFR had their captain Cadú sent off in the 65th minute. In extra time, Țucudean scored again, but CFR answered only one minute later with a goal by Pantelis Kapetanos. At the penalty shootout, two players from CFR missed, only one player from Dinamo failed to score, thus the white-and-reds won the trophy for the second time in history. The Supercupa României ( en, Romanian Supercup) is a Romanian football championship contested by the winners of the Liga I and the Cupa României. It is usually played at the Arena Națională in Bucharest. The competition started off in 1994, with the first edition being won by Steaua București. In 2010, for the first time in its history, the Supercup was held even though CFR Cluj had been victorious in both the league and the cup in the previous season. At that time, they faced Unirea Urziceni, the Liga I runners-up. The most successful performer so far has been FCSB with 6 wins, followed by Rapid București and CFR Cluj with 4 wins each up until 2021. 2011–12 Liga II
The 2011–12 Liga II was the 72nd season of the Liga II, the second tier of the Romanian football league system. The league structure had two series of 16 teams each. The first two teams in each series were promoted and the last three in each series were relegated. The season began on August 20. Teams Three of the five relegated teams from the previous Liga I season, Timișoara, Gloria Bistrița and Unirea Urziceni, did not apply for a Liga II license. The latter club was dissolved, while the first two appealed the relegation decision at the Court of Arbitration for Sport and did not to apply for Liga II licenses. The Liga 2, most often spelled as Liga II, is the second level of the Romanian football league system. The league changed its name from Divizia B just before the start of the 2006–07 Liga II, 2006–07. It is currently Sponsor (commercial), sponsored by Casa Pariurilor, a betting company with the official name Liga 2 Casa Pariurilor. FC Sportul Studențesc, commonly referred to as Sportul is a Romanian professional football club based in Bucharest, that last played at senior level in the Liga IV. Founded in 1916, Sportul Studențesc was one of the oldest Romanian clubs still active. The club's best European performance came in the 1979–80 Balkans Cup, when it won the trophy, defeating Yugoslavian side NK Rijeka in the final.
