Cristian Mijares
Cristian Ricardo Lucio Mijares (born 2 October 1981) is a Mexican former professional boxer. He is a two-time super flyweight champion, having held the unified WBC and WBA (Unified) titles from 2006 to 2008 and the IBF title from 2010 to 2011. Early life Mijares comes from a large boxing family. His younger brother is a lightweight prospect Ricardo Mijares and his uncle is a former world title contender Vicente Mijares. Professional career On 3 June 2006, Mijares knocked out Adalberto Davila in six rounds for the Mexican super flyweight title. Interim Championship
An interim championship is an alternate title that is awarded by the sanctioning bodies of professional boxing, and in other combat sports such as kickboxing, professional wrestling, and mixed martial arts. Occasionally, the champion of a particular weight division is temporarily unable to defend his championship because of medical, legal, or other reasons beyond the competitor's control. When this case occurs, two highly ranked contenders may fight for an interim championship of the same weight division – leading to two champions existing in the same weight division simultaneously. Once the original champion can return, at the discretion of the sanctioning body or promotion concerned, they must defend their title against the interim champion - who will relinquish their interim title to fight for the full world title. Tomás Rojas (boxer)
Tomás Rojas Gómez (born 12 June 1980) is a Mexican professional boxer who held the WBC super flyweight title from 2010 to 2011. Professional career He won the WBC interim super flyweight title on 18 July 2009 against landsman Everardo Morales. On 20 September 2010 Rojas won the WBC super flyweight title against Kohei Kono in Saitama, Saitama, Japan. On 5 February 2011, Rojas defended his title against former two time WBA super flyweight champion Nobuo Nashiro, winning by unanimous decision.
