Cristian Demuro
Cristian Demuro (born 7 July 1992) is an Italian jockey who competes in Flat racing. Demuro is now based in France and is noted for his major race wins on in the Prix du Jockey Club and Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe riding Sottsass. He is currently a first jockey for trainer Jean-Claude Rouget. He was champion jockey in Italy in 2011 and 2012. His elder brother also as a jockey, currently based in Japan. The Prix Jean Romanet is a Group races, Group 1 Flat racing, flat Horse racing, horse race in France open to thoroughbred Filly, fillies and mares aged four years or older. It is run over a distance of 2,000 metres (about 1¼ miles) at Deauville-La Touques Racecourse, Deauville in August. History The event is named in memory of Jean Romanet (1914–2003), a prominent figure in French racing. He devoted much of his life to the Société d'Encouragement, and served as general manager of the organisation from 1961 to 1986. The Prix Jean Romanet was established in 2004, and it initially held Group 2 status. It was one of several new races designed to keep more fillies from being exported or prematurely retired to stud. Danon Fantasy
Danon Fantasy ( ja, ダノンファンタジー, link=no, foaled 30 January 2016) is a Japanese Thoroughbred racehorse. After finishing second in her first appearance as a two-year-old in 2018 she won her three remaining races including the Fantasy Stakes (Japan), Fantasy Stakes and Hanshin Juvenile Fillies and took the JRA Award for Best Two-Year-Old Filly. In the following year she won the Tulip Sho and the Rose Stakes. In 2020 she was well beaten in her first three races but ended the year with a win in the Hanshin Cup. Hopeful Stakes (Japan)
The Hopeful Stakes (ホープフルステークス) is the only Grade 1 middle-distance race for two-year-old thoroughbreds in the JRA. This race was started as the Radio Tampa Hai Sansai Hinba Stakes (Grade 3), a mile race that was held at Hanshin Racecourse for two-year-old fillies. In 1991, not fillies but colts were allowed to run, with the distance extended to the current 2,000 meters. Its name was changed several times (Radio Tampa Hai Sansai Stakes (1991-2000), Radio Tampa Hai Nisai Stakes (2001-2005) and Radio Nikkei Hai Nisai Stakes (2006-2013)). This race was considered important because no other graded race over 2,000 meters for two-year-olds existed in those days. Ayusan
Ayusan ( ja, アユサン, link=no, foaled 21 February 2010) is a Japanese Thoroughbred racehorse and broodmare best known for her win in the 2013 Oka Sho. As a two-year-old she won on her debut before finishing second in the Artemis Stakes and seventh in the Hanshin Juvenile Fillies. In the following year she ran third the Tulip Sho before taking the Oka Sho and went on to finish fourth in the Yushun Himba. After failing in two starts in 2014 she was retired from racing. Oka Sho
The is a Japanese Grade 1 flat horse race in Japan. The race is restricted to three-year-old Thoroughbred fillies and is run over a distance of 1,600 metres (approximately 1 mile) at the Hanshin Racecourse, Takarazuka, Hyōgo in April. It was first run in 1939 and is the Japanese equivalent of the English 1,000 Guineas. The race was run at Nakayama Racecourse until 1944 when it was run at Tokyo Racecourse. After a two year hiatus the Oka Sho was staged at Kyoto Racecourse from 1947 to 1949. The race was also run at Kyoto in 1967, 1991 and 1995. It is run at Milan over a distance of 2,400 metres (about 1½ miles), and it is scheduled to take place each year in June.
