Criminal Minds (franchise)
''Criminal Minds'' is a media franchise of American television programs created by Jeff Davis. The police procedural thriller series follow the work of the members of the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) of the FBI. The original television series ''Criminal Minds'' premiered on September 22, 2005 to February 19, 2020 on CBS, followed by spin-offs '' Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior'' and '' Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders'' which premiered on the same network on February 16, 2011 and March 16, 2016 respectively. In April 2012, a video game was released based on the series. In February 2021, it was announced that a 10-episode revival of original series was officially greenlit by Paramount+. A planned true-crime docuseries, titled ''The Real Criminal Minds'' was also ordered by Paramount+. Jeff Davis (writer)
Jeff Davis (born June 13, 1975) is an American writer and television producer. He is best known for creating the drama series ''Criminal Minds'' and ''Teen Wolf'', the latter being a reboot of the 1985 film of the same name. Early life Davis was born in Milford, Connecticut. He graduated from Vassar College with a degree in film and he then went on to receive a master's degree in screenwriting from the University of Southern California. Davis worked as a script reader, editorial assistant, writer for computer software manuals and computer support specialist in Los Angeles while struggling to sell his own writing. Career In 2003, Davis sold a script to CBS Television that eventually became the hit series ''Criminal Minds''. He served as co-executive producer during the first season of the show. The 2015–16 network television schedule for the five major English-language commercial broadcast networks in the United States covers prime time hours from September 1, 2015 to August 31, 2016. The schedule is followed by a list per network of returning series, new series, and series canceled after the 2014–15 season. NBC was the first to announce its fall schedule on May 10, 2015, followed by Fox on May 11, ABC on May 12, CBS on May 13, and The CW on May 14. PBS is not included; member stations have local flexibility over most of their schedules and broadcast times for network shows may vary.
