Crimes Of Passion (TV Series)
''Crimes of Passion'' is the English collective title for a series of six feature-length crime films released in 2013, based on six of the early novels of the prolific Swedish crime novelist Maria Lang (real name Dagmar Lange), written in the late 1940s and early 1950s. The films were co-produced by Svensk Filmindustri and Swedish commercial broadcaster TV4. The first film was released in Swedish cinemas on 8 March 2013, and received indifferent or poor reviews from most Swedish critics. The remaining five were released on DVD in Sweden during the autumn of 2013 and were all made available on TV4's subscription video on demand service TV4 Play Premium in June 2014. In October and November 2014, the six films were shown on TV4's DTTV service. On 11 December 2013 BBC Four announced that it had bought the British broadcasting rights to ''Crimes of Passion'', with the series premiering on BBC Four on 30 August 2014. Maria Lang
Dagmar Maria Lange (31 March 1914, Västerås – 9 October 1991, Nora) was a Swedish author of crime fiction under the pen name Maria Lang. She was one of the first detective novelists in the Swedish language, and her books helped make the genre popular in Sweden. Early life and academic career Lange was born in Västerås to journalist Clas Lange and Elsa Kejser. The family moved to Lindesberg in 1915, when her father was appointed editor and publisher of the newspaper ''Bergslagernas Tidning''. In 1917 her father died from appendicitis, when Dagmar Lange was just two years old. In 1919 her mother married merchant Carl Ivar Olson, and they settled in Nora. Lange enrolled as a student of Scandinavian languages in Uppsala in 1933, and from 1934 at Stockholms högskola. The subject for her PhD thesis in 1946 was Pontus Wikner. Swedish Language
Swedish ( ) is a North Germanic language spoken predominantly in Sweden and in parts of Finland. It has at least 10 million native speakers, the fourth most spoken Germanic language and the first among any other of its type in the Nordic countries overall. Anita Wall
Kerstin ''Anita'' Wall (born 11 July 1940), is a Swedish stage and film actress. She began acting at eleven years of age at Vår teater, a children's theatre, playing Pippi Longstocking and other roles. From 1958 to 1959 she was employed by Riksteatern and toured with it, before joining the Royal Dramatic Training Academy, where she was one of the last group of students from 1962 to 1965 before its change of name to Statens Scenskola, together with Lars Amble, Börje Ahlstedt, Evabritt Strandberg, Per Ragnar, and others. Stina Åsa Maria Ekblad (born 26 February 1954 in Solf, Ostrobothnia, Finland) is a Swedish-speaking Finnish actress. Living in Stockholm, she has appeared mostly in Swedish productions. Hulda Maria Charlotte Kulle (born 26 April 1960 in Svalöv Municipality) is a Swedish actress. The daughter of Jarl Kulle and Louise Hermelin earlier was married to Lars-Erik Berenett.
