''Crazy Love'' is the fifth studio album from Canadian Christian rock band Hawk Nelson. It was released on February 8, 2011. It is the last album with lead vocalist Jason Dunn, who left the band in 2012 to pursue a solo career. The album netted a nomination for Best Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album at the Juno Awards of 2012. Hawk Nelson is a Canadian Rock music, rock band from Peterborough, Ontario. Formed in 2000, the band has released eight studio albums to date. History Early independent releases (2000–2003) In 2000, Dunn, Clark, and Paige founded a Peterborough, Ontario, Peterborough-based group called "SWISH", while Biro sang lead vocals for a four-piece group called the "Cheese Monkeys from Planet Nine" from Barrie, Ontario. In 2000, SWISH released their first independent album, ''Riding Around the Park'' on Mime Radio, an independent record label based in Peterborough. In January 2002, Biro moved to Peterborough to join Dunn, Clark and Paige and SWISH was renamed "Reason Being", before finally settling with the name "Hawk Nelson". Acoustic Music
Acoustic music is music that solely or primarily uses instruments that produce sound through acoustic means, as opposed to electric or electronic means. While all music was once acoustic, the retronym "acoustic music" appeared after the advent of electric instruments, such as the electric guitar, electric violin, electric organ and synthesizer. ''Hawk Nelson Is My Friend'' is the third full-length studio album from Christian rock band Hawk Nelson. It was released on April 1, 2008, debuting at No. 34 on the ''Billboard'' 200. In the first week of its release the album sold a little over 30,000 copies. Hawk Nelson wrote the songs, as usual together with Trevor McNevan, but this time also with Richard Marx and Raine Maida. The album was produced by award-winning David Bendeth ( Paramore, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus). The album artwork, created by Invisible Creature, was nominated for a Grammy in 2008 for Best Recording Package. Singles "Friend Like That" was the first single from the album, released in the iTunes Store on December 24, 2007. A music video was filmed for the song. Jason Ingram
Jason David Ingram is an American Christian music producer and songwriter. He has been a songwriter for many Christian artists, including Bebo Norman and Point of Grace. Career Around the end of 2001, he was the first artist to be signed to Resonate Records, an INO Records partnership with Sonicflood's lead vocalist Rick Heil.
