"Crazy 'Bout My Baby" is a song first written and recorded by musician Robert Mosley in 1963. His third solo single, it failed to chart, leading to it becoming his final single released. Robert Henry Mosely, Jr., sometimes written as Mosley, is an American singer, songwriter and producer. He has recorded singles as a solo artist as well as in the duo Mayme & Robert. Mosely is best known for co-writing the songs " Sha-La-La" and " Midnight Flyer". The Swinging Blue Jeans
The Swinging Blue Jeans are a four-piece 1960s British Merseybeat band, best known for their hit singles with the HMV label: "Hippy Hippy Shake", "Good Golly Miss Molly", and "You're No Good", issued in 1964. Subsequent singles released that year and the next made no impression. In 1966, their version of Burt Bacharach and Hal David's " Don't Make Me Over" peaked at no. 31 in the UK Singles Chart, but the group never charted again. Career The group had its origins in 1957, when Bruce McCaskill formed a jazz-influenced skiffle sextet called the Bluegenes. Besides guitarist/vocalist McCaskill, the original line-up also included banjo player Tommy Hughes, washboard player Norman Kuhlke, and oil drum bass player Spud Ward. ''Tio i Topp'' (English: ''Ten At The Top'') was a Swedish record chart and radio program broadcast by Sveriges Radio P3 between the years of 1961 and 1974. It was launched to combat pirate radio charts and was the first official Swedish record chart, predating the sales chart Kvällstoppen by a year. For a few months during the summers starting in 1962, it would turn into ''Sommartoppen'' (English: ''The Summer Top'') with a separate host and a different concept. The program ceased in June 1974 following heated debates tying in with the progg movement. Both ''Tio i Topp'' and Kvällstoppen are considered official charts in Sweden during the 1960s. "I'll Be Doggone" is a 1965 song recorded by American soul singer Marvin Gaye and released on the Tamla label. The song talks about how a man tells his woman that he'll be "doggone" about simple things but if she did him wrong that he'd be "long gone". The song was written by Smokey Robinson, Warren Moore and Marv Tarplin, initially for The Temptations, who rejected the song. "Miss Mac Baren" is a song by the Swedish rock band Tages, released as a single in November 1966. It was written by all five members of the group and was recorded during the sessions for their third studio album, ''Extra Extra'', but was ultimately excluded from it. The B-side, "Get Up An' Get Goin'", was however included as the fourth track on the album. "Miss Mac Baren" got its first album release on ''Tages Hits Vol. 3'', a compilation album released in August 1967. Background The song originated during the band's Scandinavian tour. Platina Records (Platina Skivor) was a Swedish independent record label founded in 1964 by businessman and songwriter Evert Jakobsson. The label saw great success throughout the mid-1960s with rock acts such as Tages, before turning to dansband music in the 1970s, gaining success with Flamingokvintetten and Thorleifs. Flamenco rock or Andalusian rock is a rock music subgenre that emerged from (but is not limited to) the Spanish region of Andalusia throughout the late 1960s and early 1970s. ''Tages 2'' (commonly referred to as ''LP 2'' or just ''2'') is the second studio album by the Swedish rock band Tages, released on 4 August 1966 by Platina Records. Often considered their artistic breakthrough, six out of twelve tracks are original compositions. The album was recorded and released during a tense moment for the group, where drummer Freddie Skantze was just about to leave the group; he was briefly replaced by Tommy "TT" Tausis, who plays on four tracks on the album. ''Tages 2'' would be the final albums for Skantze as he left following the recording, and Tausis would go on to play on '' Extra Extra'' before leaving towards the end of 1966. Both were replaced by drummer Lasse Svensson. Just like its predecessor ''Tages'', it was issued in 6000 copies, and sold over 10000, becoming their second and last album certified in Sweden. The Searchers were an English Merseybeat group who emerged during the British Invasion of the 1960s. The band's hits include a remake of the Drifters' 1961 hit, "Sweets for My Sweet"; " Sugar and Spice" (written by their producer Tony Hatch); remakes of Jackie DeShannon's " Needles and Pins" and "When You Walk in the Room"; a cover of the Orlons' "Don't Throw Your Love Away"; and a cover of the Clovers' " Love Potion No. 9".
