Crawford, Texas
Crawford is a town located in western McLennan County, Texas, United States. Crawford is part of the Waco Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of the 2020 census, the town had a total population of 887. The town was incorporated on August 12, 1897. It is best known as the home of former President of the United States George W. Bush. He currently resides part-time at the Prairie Chapel Ranch, which is located just outside Crawford, Texas. Demographics As of the 2020 United States census, there were 887 people, 337 households, and 270 families residing in the town. At the 2000 census there were 705 people in the town, organized into 260 households and 192 families. The population density was 763.1 inhabitants per square mile (295.9/km2). Coryell County ( ) is a county located on the Edwards Plateau in the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2020 census, its population was 83,093. The county seat is Gatesville. The county is named for James Coryell, a frontiersman and Texas Ranger who was killed by Caddo Indians. Coryell County is part of the Killeen–Temple metropolitan statistical area. Bosque County ( ) is a county located on the Edwards Plateau in the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2020 census, the population was 18,235. Its county seat is Meridian, while Clifton is the largest city and the cultural/financial center of the county.
