Craig George Robinson (born August 21, 1948) is a former Major League Baseball shortstop who played for the Philadelphia Phillies (-), Atlanta Braves (-, -), and San Francisco Giants (-). He batted and threw right-handed. Robinson was drafted by the Phillies in the 11th round of the 1970 amateur draft. He played 3 seasons in the Minor Leagues before making his Major League debut as a pinch runner at Veterans Stadium on September 9, 1972. Shortstop
Shortstop, abbreviated SS, is the baseball or softball fielding position between second and third base, which is considered to be among the most demanding defensive positions. Historically the position was assigned to defensive specialists who were typically poor at batting and were often placed at the bottom of the batting order. Today, shortstops are often able to hit well and many are placed at the top of the lineup. In the numbering system used by scorers to record defensive plays, the shortstop is assigned the number 6. More hit balls go to the shortstop than to any other position, as there are more right-handed hitters in baseball than left-handed hitters, and most hitters have a tendency to pull the ball slightly. Ronald Richard Schueler (born April 18, 1948) is an American former professional baseball pitcher, pitching coach, executive and scout. Over the course of his eight-year playing career in Major League Baseball (MLB), Schueler played for the Atlanta Braves, Philadelphia Phillies, Minnesota Twins and Chicago White Sox.
