Craig Nelson (footballer)
Craig Nelson (born 28 May 1971, in Coatbridge) is a Scottish former football goalkeeper who last played for Brechin City in Scottish League One. He is currently the goalkeeping coach of the club. Nelson began his career with Partick Thistle before moving to Ireland to join Cork City in January 1991. He returned to Scotland four months later and went on to make 90 league appearances for Thistle before moving to Heart of Midlothian. He stayed at Tynecastle for two seasons (making 24 league appearances) but left to sign for Falkirk. He remained there for a further two season before moving on to Ayr United where he became a stalwart in the Somerset Park side, making 150 appearances in his five seasons there. This included playing in the Scottish League Cup 2002 final, which Ayr lost to Rangers 4–0. Craig Richard Nelson (born September 17, 1947) is an American actor in theater, film and television. Life and career Nelson was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, and grew up as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He studied acting at the University of Utah and New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. After graduation, he was cast in the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical ''Two Gentlemen of Verona (musical), Two Gentlemen of Verona''. A casting director saw him in that show and cast him in the film ''The Paper Chase (film), The Paper Chase'' as a mean-spirited law student. This led to a long career in film and television, including three Robert Altman films, ''A Wedding (1978 film), A Wedding'', ''3 Women'', and ''Quintet (film), Quintet'' as well as a role in the coming-of-age comedy ''My Bodyguard''.
