Craig Gunn
Craig Gunn (born 17 July 1987) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a striker for Highland League club, Wick Academy. He was previously with Elgin City between 2009 and 2017, and has also played for Brora Rangers and Ross County, as well as a loan spell with Peterhead. Career Wick Academy Born in Wick, Gunn started his career at his hometown team, Highland League side Wick Academy. He spent just one season there and finished as the club's top scorer with 22 of the club's 42 league goals as the side finished 11th in the table. He also scored three cup goals. In the nine seasons from 1998β99 to 2006β07, Gunn was the only Wick player to get into double figures for league goals. Ross County After his impressive performance in the Highland League, Gunn moved to First Division side Ross County. He stayed there for five seasons, scoring only two goals in 47 league appearances. Wick, Highland
Wick ( gd, Inbhir Γige (IPA: inivΙͺΙΎΚ²ΛuΛkΚ²Ι, sco, Week) is a town and royal burgh in Caithness, in the far north of Scotland. The town straddles the River Wick and extends along both sides of Wick Bay. "Wick Locality" had a population of 6,954 at the time of the 2011 census, a decrease of 3.8% from 2001. Pulteneytown, which was developed on the south side of the river by the British Fisheries Society during the 19th century, was officially merged into the burgh in 1902. Elzy was described as on the coast a couple of miles east of Wick in 1836. The town is on the main road (the A99βA9 road) linking John o' Groats with southern Britain. The Far North railway line links Wick railway station with southern Scotland and with Thurso, the other burgh of Caithness. Wick Airport is on Wick's northern outskirts. The 2005β06 Scottish Challenge Cup was the 15th season of the competition, competed for by all 30 members of the Scottish Football League. The defending champions were Falkirk, who defeated Ross County 2β1 in the 2004 final. Falkirk did not compete in the tournament after being promoted to the Scottish Premier League. The final was played on 6 November 2005 and was won by St Mirren who defeated Hamilton Academical 2β1 in the final at Excelsior Stadium in Airdrie. The Scottish Football League (SFL) was a league featuring professional and semi-professional football clubs mostly from Scotland.One club, Berwick Rangers, is based in the town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, which is located approximately 4 km south of the Anglo-Scottish border. From its foundation in 1890 until the breakaway Scottish Premier League (SPL) was formed in 1998, the SFL was the top level of football in Scotland. The Scottish Football League Third Division was the fourth tier of the Scottish football league system between 1994 and 2013. History The Scottish football league system had operated with three divisions in the Scottish Football League (SFL) from 1975. In 1994, as part of reconstruction to allow the admission of Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Ross County to the league, the SFL was recalibrated to give four divisions of 10 teams. The fourth tier was named the Third Division. In 1998, the Premier Division (top flight) clubs broke away to form the Scottish Premier League (SPL). The Scottish Football League Second Division was the third tier of the Scottish football league system between 1975 and 2013. History The Second Division was created in 1975, as part of a wider reconstruction of the Scottish Football League (SFL). Prior to 1975, the SFL had been split into two divisions (Division One and Division Two).
