Craig Deans (born 7 May 1974) is an Australian former Association football, football (soccer) player and former head coach of the Newcastle Jets. Playing career Deans was a central defender for multiple Australian clubs, with most of his appearances coming in the National Soccer League. He made only two appearances in the A-League before a long period of injury Deans forced him into retirement as a professional player in 2007. He had success with the Perth Glory, winning two titles at the club. Coaching career In 2008, Deans became the inaugural A-League National Youth League, youth team coach for the Newcastle Jets for their team in the new A-League National Youth League. On 5 October 2011, he was appointed interim manager of the Newcastle Jets after the sacking of Branko Culina. He returned to his previous job when a full time manager was appointed. Hayley Crawford
Hayley Crawford (born 27 March 1984) is an Australian soccer player who played as a midfielder for Newcastle Jets and Canberra United in the W-League and for Macarthur Rams. She has also captained Newcastle Jets. She has represented Australia at the 2002 FIFA World Under-19 Women's Championship. Due to Newcastle Jets' lack of experienced defenders for the 2014 season, Crawford came out of retirement and signed for the Jets. A-League Men Players
A-League Men (known as the Isuzu UTE A-League for sponsorship reasons) is the highest-level professional men's soccer league in Australia and New Zealand. At the top of the Australian league system, it is the country's premier men's competition for the sport. Central Coast Mariners Football Club is an Australian professional soccer club based in Gosford, on the Central Coast of New South Wales.
