Cowboy Marching Band
The Cowboy Marching Band is the marching band of Oklahoma State University. History The first band at Oklahoma A&M College (now Oklahoma State University) was organized in 1905 by Harry Dunn, a student at the school, and directed by a Mr. Wood. It consisted of 22 members. A tradition of the band was the use of the OSU Spirit Drum. It was purchased in the mid-1930s for the R.O.T.C. A cowboy is an animal herder who tends cattle on ranches in North America, traditionally on horseback, and often performs a multitude of other ranch-related tasks. The Big 12 Conference is a college athletic conference headquartered in Irving, Texas, USA. It consists of ten full-member universities. It is a member of Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) for all sports. Its football teams compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS; formerly Division I-A), the higher of two levels of NCAA Division I football competition.
