Coward (Haste The Day Album)
''Coward'' is the sixth studio album from Haste the Day. Solid State Records released the album on May 18, 2015. The album was released following the band's successful funding campaign via the crowdfunding website IndieGoGo, to which fans contributed more than twice the band's original goal. ''Coward'' is unique in that it features contributions from every member throughout the band's career, and is the first studio album to feature original vocalist Jimmy Ryan since the band's 2005 release '' When Everything Falls''. Critical reception Awarding the album three and a half stars from ''Alternative Press'', Tyler Sharp writes, "''Coward'' tends to lack an overall sense of cohesion, creating a slight disconnect for the listener, yet doesn’t hold the band back from creating arguably some of their most profound material to date, in bouts of progressive, titan metalcore." Haste The Day
Haste the Day was an American metalcore band formed in Carmel, Indiana in 2001 and signed to Solid State Records. Their name is derived from a lyric in the hymn " It Is Well with My Soul" by Horatio Spafford. The band released an EP titled ''That They May Know You'', in 2002, followed by five studio albums: '' Burning Bridges'' (2004), '' When Everything Falls'' (2005), '' Pressure the Hinges'' (2007), '' Dreamer'' (2008), and ''Attack of the Wolf King'' (2010). The group disbanded in March 2011 but reformed in 2014 and released ''Coward'' in 2015. History Haste the Day formed in 2001 in Carmel, Indiana. The name was discovered by Devin Chaulk who read it from the hymn " It Is Well with My Soul." The Ember Days
The Ember Days is an indie rock band originally from New Zealand, now based in Nashville, Tennessee. They are currently not signed to any record label. Background Formed in 2006, Jason and Janell Belcher began the band with a desire to create epic and accessible worship music, the current line-up consists of Jason (vocals and rhythm guitar), Janell (vocals and keys), Jordan McGee (drums), Logan MacKenzie (guitar) and Jedidiah Lachmann (bass). Giuseppe Capolupo is an American musician who typically performs metalcore. Capolupo has been in bands such as Renfield, Demise of Eros, Haste the Day and Once Nothing, as well as formed his own band, Gypsy and His Band of Ghosts. Capolupo joined The Devil Wears Prada as a fill-in drummer, with the eventual plan of becoming an official member. Background Capolupo began his musical career in 2003, when he became the rhythm guitarist, and co-vocalist for Renfield. After which, he started to perform drums for Demise of Eros.
