Covert Action (film)
''Covert Action'' (originally released as ''Sono Stato un Agente C.I.A.'') is a 1978 Italian/Greek co-production Eurospy film starring the American actor David Janssen. The plot was based on the experiences of former CIA agent Philip Agee who initiated a lawsuit with the producers over his fees and expenses. Plot A former CIA agent decides to write about his CIA career that leads him into danger. Production The original female lead Catherine Bach dropped out and was replaced with Corinne Cléry. Philippe Leroy (actor)
Philippe Leroy-Beaulieu (born 15 October 1930) is a French actor. He has appeared in over 150 films since 1960, and has worked extensively in Italian cinema, as well as in his native country. He was nominated for the BAFTA Award for Best Foreign Actor for his debut performance in Jacques Becker’s '' The Hole'' (1960), and for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie for playing the titular role in the Italian miniseries ''The Life of Leonardo da Vinci'' (1971). Giacomo Rossi Stuart (25 August 1925 – 20 October 1994) was an Italian film actor often credited as Jack Stuart or Giacomo Rossi-Stuart. He appeared in more than 80 films between 1953 and 1989. Biography Born in Todi to an Italian father and a Scottish mother, Stuart was a highly successful athlete when young; he competed in the pentathlon. After getting interested in acting, he studied at Actors Studio in New York City. Between the late 1950s and the late 1970s he was a major actor in Italian genre cinema.
