Covenant Of The Sword
Covenant of the Sword is a fictional, covert organization bent on global domination appearing in the Image Universe and created by Erik Larsen and Keith Giffen. Although appearing in Larsen's flagship title, ''Savage Dragon'' (and some related titles like '' SuperPatriot''), the Covenant also appeared in a number of Extreme Studios comics by Rob Liefeld, most notably Bloodstrike and Badrock. Damien Darklord is one of the members is also a major villain in the Savage Dragon series. Fictional team history The Covenant of the Sword is an organization shrouded in mystery but whose sole purpose is to secretly take over the world. Members dress in medieval garb reminiscent of the Knights Templar and employ an army of robotic and cybernetic soldiers. Image Universe
The Image Universe (IU) is a fictional universe in which some stories published by Image Comics take place. It was introduced in the early years of the publisher, shared by the various creators who formed the Image partnership. The independent, creator-owned nature of their work led to limited interaction between their characters, and little coordination of the Image Universe as a shared setting. Instead it has mainly served as the ostensible setting of occasional crossovers between different series, including ''Deathmate'', ''Image United'', and '' The Invincible War''. Rapture (comics)
The rapture is an eschatological position held by some Christians, particularly those of American evangelicalism, consisting of an end-time event when all Christian believers who are alive, along with resurrected believers, will rise "in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air." Wildcats, sometimes rendered WildCats or WildC.A.T.s, is a superhero team created by the American comic book artist Jim Lee and writer Brandon Choi. Grifter (comics)
Grifter (Cole Cash) is a fictional superhero who has appeared in books published by Wildstorm Productions and DC Comics. Created by artist Jim Lee and writer Brandon Choi, he first appeared in ''WildC.A.T.s'' #1 (August 1992), as a member of that titular superhero team, during the period when Wildstorm and its properties were owned by Jim Lee. In that incarnation, Grifter is a former government operative and member of the military unit Team 7 and the espionage agency International Operations. Youngblood is a superhero team that starred in their self-titled comic book, created by writer/artist Rob Liefeld. The team made its debut as a backup feature in the 1987 RAMM #1 before the next month appearing in the one-shot ''Megaton Explosion'' #1 before later appearing in 1992 in its own ongoing series as the flagship publication for Image Comics. Erik J. Larsen (born December 8, 1962) is an American comic book artist, writer, and publisher. He currently acts as the chief financial officer of Image Comics. He gained attention in the early 1990s with his art on Spider-Man series for Marvel Comics. In 1992 he was one of several artists who stopped working for Marvel to found Image Comics, where he launched his superhero series ''Savage Dragon'' – one of the longest running creator-owned superhero comics series – and served for several years as the company's publisher. Badrock
Badrock is a fictional superhero who appears in books published by Image Comics. Created by Rob Liefeld, he was originally named Bedrock and first appeared in '' Youngblood'' #1 (April 1992). Fictional character biography Thomas John McCall was an average, underachieving 16-year-old when he swallowed a vial of top secret genetic material in his father's lab. Bloodstrike is a fictional team of action/adventure super agents, originally published by Rob Liefeld's Extreme Studios of Image Comics in the 1990s. Bloodstrike is a top-secret, super-powered assassination squad deployed covertly by the United States government. All of the members had already died before becoming members of the team, and were brought back to life by the government's Project: Born Again. Publication history ''Bloodstrike'' #1 was cover dated April 1993 and the series ran for 22 issues.
