Courtney Kessel
Courtney Birchard (born July 14, 1989) competes for the Canadian national women's ice hockey team. She made her debut for Team Canada in the 2010 Four Nations Cup. She was drafted 6th overall by the Brampton Thunder in the 2011 CWHL Draft. Birchard was born in Etobicoke, Ontario. Playing career Birchard was a 2007 graduate of Lincoln M. Alexander High School in Malton, Ontario. While at the school, Birchard lettered in ice hockey, soccer, basketball and badminton. In addition, she competed for the Toronto Jr. Aeros. While with the club, she won provincial titles in 2005 and 2006. The club was also playoff champions in 2004, 2006 and 2007. In 2007, she was the Jr. Aeros captain. Canadian Women's Hockey League
The Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL; french: Ligue canadienne de hockey féminin ‒ LCHF) was a women's ice hockey league. Established in 2007 as a Canadian women's senior league in the Greater Toronto Area, Montreal, and Ottawa, the league eventually expanded into Alberta, as well as teams in China and the United States throughout its tenure. The league discontinued operations May 1, 2019, after 12 seasons of operations. For most of its existence, it was the highest level women's hockey league in North America while registered as an amateur association. The National Women's Hockey League (now Premier Hockey Federation) was launched as a rival organization, while also paying its players, but with both leagues competing for the same talent. Meghan Agosta
Meghan Christina Agosta (born February 12, 1987) is a Canadian women's ice hockey forward, who last played for the Montreal Stars of the Canadian Women's Hockey League. Agosta plays for the Canada women's national ice hockey team and is a gold (3) and silver medallist at the Winter Olympics of 2006 Turin, 2010 Vancouver, 2014 Sochi, and 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. At the 2010 Winter Olympics, Agosta was named MVP of the Women's Hockey Tournament. She is a multi-medallist at the Women's World Championships with two gold medals and six silvers. During the 2006–07 season at Mercyhurst College in NCAA Division I hockey, Agosta was the first freshman named as a finalist for the Patty Kazmaier Award. Amanda Kessel
Amanda Kessel (born August 28, 1991) is an American professional ice hockey player. She has been a member of the United States women's national ice hockey team and played four seasons for the Minnesota Golden Gophers women's ice hockey program (2010–11 through 2012–13, and 2015–16). She has played professionally in the National Women's Hockey League and Professional Women's Hockey Players Association. Amanda Kessel was also the Captain of Championship Team at the Pink Whitney Cup. Playing career Prior to high school, she participated for the Madison Capitols Bantam boys team in 2005–06 and helped the team to state and regional championships. Philip Joseph Kessel Jr. (born October 2, 1987) is an American professional ice hockey winger for the Vegas Golden Knights of the National Hockey League (NHL). The 2012 Clarkson Cup is a women's ice hockey tournament that was contested in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Niagara Falls, Ontario to determine the champion of the Canadian Women's Hockey League from March 22, 2012 to March 25, 2012.
