Courtney Act
Shane Gilberto Jenek (born 18 February 1982), better known under the stage name Courtney Act, is an Australian drag queen, singer and television personality. Courtney first came to prominence competing on the Australian Idol (season 1), first season of ''Australian Idol'' in 2003. After the show, she signed to BMG Australia (now Sony Music Australia), and she released her debut single, "Rub Me Wrong", which peaked at No. 29 on the ARIA Charts, ARIA Singles Chart and eventually gained a gold certification. While auditioning for Australian Idol, she also became the first LGBTQ contestant to openly appear on a reality TV talent show. In 2014, Courtney was one of the runners-up in RuPaul's Drag Race (season 6), season six of ''RuPaul's Drag Race.'' The American Apparel Ad Girls, commonly abbreviated as The AAA Girls, are a drag queen supergroup composed of Alaska Thunderfuck 5000, Courtney Act, and Willam Belli. On July 7, 2017 they released their debut extended play '' Access All Areas''. History In September 2014 the fashion brand American Apparel recruited ''RuPaul's Drag Race'' contestants Alaska, Courtney Act, and Willam to be the faces of their new ad campaign. They were the first drag queens to be ad girls for the brand. To promote the new partnership, they released their debut single, "American Apparel Ad Girls", a parody of "Farrah Fawcett Hair" by Capital Cities. Queens For The Night
''Queens for the Night'' is a British reality television competition that sees a group of celebrities become drag queens. It aired on 5 November 2022 on ITV. It was presented by Lorraine Kelly with Courtney Act, Rob Beckett, Melanie C and Layton Williams serving as judges. The competition was won by ''Coronation Street'' actor Simon Gregson as his drag alter-ego "Bidet Bardot", who performed a comedy performance mentored by Myra DuBois. Format The one-off television special features six celebrities paired with their very own drag mentor as they unleash their drag alter-egos and attempt to master the art of drag.
