Ford Beebe
Ford Beebe (November 26, 1888 – November 26, 1978) was a screenwriter and Film director, director. He entered the film business as a writer around 1916 and over the next 60 years wrote and/or directed almost 200 films. He specialized in B-movies – mostly Westerns – and action serials, working on the "Buck Rogers" and "Flash Gordon" serials for Universal Pictures. Life Ford Beebe was born on November 26, 1888, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Before moving to Hollywood, Los Angeles, Hollywood he was a freelance writer who was also experienced in advertising. He arrived in Hollywood in 1916 and began working as a writer for Western films. His first credit was as scenario writer for the 1916 film ''A Youth of Fortune''. Beebe directed for the first time when Leo D. Maloney, who had been directing a film called ''The Test'', fell ill. Beebe became known as a director of low-budget films and serials. Bud Osborne
Leonard Miles "Bud" Osborne (July 20, 1884 – February 2, 1964) was an American film actor. He appeared in more than 600 films and television programs between 1912 and 1963. Biography Osborne was born Miles Osborne in Knox County, Texas, on February 20, 1884. Osborne attended Oklahoma City schools and was a rancher in Oklahoma's Indian Territory before he became an entertainer. After working with the 101 Ranch Show for five years, he worked with Buffalo Bill's Wild West show for one year in 1912. He became a member of Thomas H. Ince's film company in 1915. Osborne specialized in westerns, and was also noted for his skill as a stage driver, and was thus much in demand from his first film in 1912 right through the early 1950s. He was working as a stunt man as late as 1948, in Ray Enright's ''Return of the Bad Men.'' Lewis William Potter (April 15, 1923 – September 5, 1975), known professionally as Bill Potter, was an American country music singer, Western movie actor, and television personality of the late 1940s and early 1950s. Biography Potter grew up in Bingham, Maine, and served with the United States Army Air Forces during World War II. After being discharged in December 1943, he worked for a shipbuilding company in Orange, Texas. By 1948, he was married to a woman from Dallas and had a son. They later operated a ranch near Orange. In Texas, Potter was discovered by a talent scout, and appeared in several Western movies by Monogram Pictures in the late 1940s as a singing cowboy. Also known as "Cactus Bill" or "Cowboy Bill", Potter went on to appear on early television shows on KFI-TV in Los Angeles and on KPRC-TV in Houston. Carol Henry (July 14, 1918 – September 17, 1987) was an American character actor who played the parts of henchmen in Western films and television series throughout the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s. He also served as a stunt man in various films although all his work in that field went uncredited. Born in Oklahoma, he appeared in an episode of ''Sergeant Preston of the Yukon'' in 1955 as McClain, a murderer. In 1958 he appeared as a posse member in the TV western ''Tales of Wells Fargo'' in the episode titled "Butch Cassidy." Carol Henry died in North Hollywood, aged 69. William Norton Bailey (born Gardner Warren Reineck; September 26, 1886 – November 8, 1962) was an American actor and director. Personal life William Norton Bailey was born Gardner Warren Reineck on 26 September 1886 in Omaha, Nebraska. His parents, Rebecca Gardener Phillips and Jesse P. Reineck, his father was a Western Union telegraph operator. The family moved around the country based on Jesse’s work. The Reineck’s divorced after 1900 when Jesse was arrested, along with five other telegraph operators, for defrauding American Express. William's mother settled the family for a number of years in Milwaukee. Bailey was married on 1917 in Philadelphia to Mary Cannon, an actress who worked under the professional names of Polly Vann and Mary/Polly Bailey. They had no children.
