Florida State Road 54
State Road 54 (SR 54) is located in the Tampa Bay Area, north of Tampa itself, and runs from US 19 in Elfers in the west to US 301 in Zephyrhills, in the east. In between it passes through Wesley Chapel, Land o' Lakes, and Elfers. Route description SR 54 is a six-lane divided highway from its western terminus at US 19. In between County Roads 77 and 1 in Seven Springs, the road moves southeast along the Mitchell Bypass, which crosses over the Anclote River the moment it moves away from Old CR 54. The segment between Trinity Boulevard and Gunn Highway in Odessa was rebuilt and relocated along a former Atlantic Coast Line Railroad right-of-way that ran from Pinellas County where much of the Pinellas Trail exists today into Trilby. State Road 542 (SR 542) is a west–east route in Central Florida, serving Polk County. It runs 6 miles from downtown Winter Haven to west of downtown Dundee, Florida. Route description State Road 542 starts in the heart of downtown Winter Haven, as Central Avenue, the west–east axis of the city's grid plan. Its western terminus is the intersection with 1st Street ( SR 549), the city's north–south axis. As it heads eastward, it soon reaches Lake Elbert, whose southern shore it skirts as Lake Elbert Drive SE. State Road 540 (SR 540) is a west–east route in Central Florida, serving Polk County. It runs from the south side of the city of Lakeland to U.S. Route 27 (US 27). SR 540 also runs along the entrance to Legoland Florida. It is a major route along the south side of Winter Haven, where it is known as Cypress Gardens Boulevard, and an important link between Winter Haven and Lakeland, the Polk Parkway, and subsequently Interstate 4 (I-4) and the Tampa Bay area. State Road 64 (SR 64) extends from City Road 789 (former County Road 789) near the Gulf of Mexico in Holmes Beach on Anna Maria Island in Manatee County to US 27/ US 98 in Avon Park in Highlands County. State Road 64 travels from west to east through the counties of Manatee, Hardee and Highlands. It is a mostly rural two-lane highway going through only two cities, Bradenton and Zolfo Springs.
