Union County is a county located in the north central portion of the U.S. state of Florida, the smallest in the state. As of the 2020 census, the population was 16,147. Alachua County ( ) is a county in the north central portion of the U.S. state of Florida. As of the 2020 census, the population was 278,468. State Road 18 (SR 18) is a short state road in the U.S. state of Florida. It begins in Worthington Springs in southern Union County and travels eastward for into Bradford County until it becomes County Road 18 at Brooker. It also has county road extensions, one of which is between Fort White and Worthington Springs, and the other between Brooker and SR 100 north of Theressa. U.S. Route 221 (US 221) in Florida is a north–south United States Highway. It runs from Perry northwest to the Georgia State Line in Taylor, Madison and Jefferson Counties. The entire route is inventoried by FDOT as the northern section of unsigned State Road 55. A short overlap with US 90 exists in Greenville. Route description U.S. Route 221 begins its northward journey in the City of Perry at the intersection of US 19- 98- Alt 27 at the northern terminus of CR 361A. US Truck Route 221 also begins at this intersection, but runs along US 19-98-ALT 27. North of the terminus of CR 335, the road narrows down to two lanes at the intersection of US 27, which includes another leg of the truck detour. State Road 21 (SR 21) runs mostly in a southwest-to-northeast direction in the US state of Florida from McMeekin to Jacksonville. It is also known as Blanding Boulevard for much of its length.
