Florida State Road 100
State Road 100 (SR 100) is a east–west highway serving northeast Florida. Its western terminus is at the Georgia-Florida border north of Avoca, Florida (its continuation in Georgia is State Route 11); its eastern terminus is an intersection with Shore Scenic Highway ( SR A1A) in Flagler Beach. The portion west of Lake City is only signed as portions of US 41 and US 129, both of which run north–south. Route description The northernmost of SR 100 are signed (north–south) as US 129. For in Jasper, it merges with US 41 ( SR 25) before separating from US 129 (which has the hidden Florida Department of Transportation designation SR 51 between the split and Live Oak). White Springs is a town in Hamilton County, Florida, Hamilton County, Florida, United States, on the Suwannee River. The population was 777 at the 2010 United States Census, 2010 census, down from 819 at the 2000 census. Home of the annual Florida Folk Festival, it is a tourist destination noted for historic charm, antique shops and river recreation. History The Suwannee River was once the boundary between the Timucuan peoples to the east and the Apalachee people to the west. When Spain, Spanish explorers visited the area in the 1530s, the spring (hydrology), spring was visited by natives from both sides of the river, who believed the water possessed healing powers. The Indians considered the spring a sacred healing ground, and used it even in times of war; any tribe member could bathe and drink the mineral waters without fear of being attacked. County Road 18 (Columbia County, Florida)
State Road 18 (SR 18) is a short state road in the U.S. state of Florida. It begins in Worthington Springs in southern Union County and travels eastward for into Bradford County until it becomes County Road 18 at Brooker. It also has county road extensions, one of which is between Fort White and Worthington Springs, and the other between Brooker and SR 100 north of Theressa. Related routes Columbia and Union Counties West of Worthington Springs, County Road 18 is a bi-county road that extends from US 27 ( SR 20) in Fort White as County Road 18, also known as Southwest Fellowship Street along the O'Leno to Ichetucknee Trail. The road takes a slight curve to the northeast that ends near the intersection of County Road 131 just south of that road's own intersection with CR 238.
