Thérèse Couderc
Thérèse Couderc (1 February 1805 – 26 September 1885) - born Marie-Victoire Couderc - was a French Roman Catholic professed religious and the co-founder of the Sisters of the Cenacle. Couderc underwent humiliations during her time as a nun for she was forced to resign from positions and was ridiculed and mocked due to false accusations made against her though this softened towards the end of her life. She was a spiritual writer having written on sacrifice and service to God. After her death, she left a series of spiritual writings. Pope Pius XII beatified the late religious in Saint Peter's Basilica on 4 November 1951 and in 1970 she was canonized as a saint by Pope Paul VI. Anne-Marie Couderc (born 13 February 1950) is a French politician and business executive. Couderc was a Deputy from Paris from 1993 to 1995, Secretary of State and Minister responsible for Employment from 1995 to 1997. She was President of Presstalis, from 2010 to 2017 and has been acting Chair of the Board of Air France-KLM since 15 May 2018. Career Early beginnings A lawyer by training, Couderc began her career at the Paris Bar, before joining in 1982, as an assistant to the Secretary General, of Hachette Press, which became Hachette Filipacchi Presse in 1993, a group in which she held various positions. Couderc was assistant to the mayor Jacques Chirac, and then member of Parliament elected in the 13th district. Joseph-Antoine-Charles Couderc
Joseph-Antoine-Charles Couderc (10 March 1810 – 16 April 1875) was a French operatic tenor (and later baritone) prominent on the stages of the Opéra Comique in Paris where he created numerous roles. Life and career Couderc was born in Toulouse where his father had a grocery shop. He was working in his father's business when Louis Benoît Alphonse Révial (1810-1871) a tenor from Toulouse already studying at the Conservatoire de Paris convinced him to study singing and facilitated his entry to the conservatory in 1830. After studying singing there under Louis Nourrit, Couderc made his debut as Rodolphe in Boieldieu's ''Le petit chaperon de rouge'' at the Opéra-Comique in 1834. He created several roles with the company between 1834 and 1841 and was greatly admired for his acting ability. Raymond Couderc (born 16 September 1946 in Bordeaux) is a French politician, and a former member of the Senate of France, who represented the Department of Hérault. He is a member of the Union for a Popular Movement, which is a part of the European People's Party. He is the Mayor of Béziers and the President of the community of the agglomeration Béziers to the Mediterranean.
