Casla
Casla (Costello or Costelloe) is a Gaeltacht village between Indreabhán (Inverin) and An Cheathrú Rua (Carraroe) in western County Galway, Ireland. The headquarters of RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta is located there. The village lies on the R336 road beside Clynagh Bay. ''Casla'' means "(twisting) creek" or "inlet from the sea" in Irish. It is served by Bus Éireann route 424 from Galway City. In the novel ''The Wind Changes'' by Olivia Manning, set among the Irish independence fighters in 1921, Riordan, the last of the leaders of the 1916 Easter Rising, is to land at the pier in Casla. Costelloe Lodge is a large house built in 1925 by the architect Edwin Lutyens with gardens designed by Gertrude Jekyll, to replace a fishing lodge that was burned down in 1922 during the Irish Civil War. John Costelloe (politician)
John Costelloe (c. 1900 – date of death unknown) was an Irish shopkeeper and Fianna Fáil politician who served for two years as a member of the 10th Seanad Éireann. John Healy ("Backbencher"), Inside Politics, ''The Irish Times'', 30 November 1963. Costelloe was from Ballyduff, Tralee, County Kerry. Costelloe (November 8, 1961 – December 16, 2008) was an American actor best known for his role as Jim "Johnny Cakes" Witowski, the lover of Vito Spatafore, in the HBO television series ''The Sopranos''. Paul Costelloe (born 23 June 1945) is an Irish designer and artist. In popular culture In 2010, Costelloe was one of six contemporary and internationally renowned Irish fashion designers featured on a set of Irish postage stamps issued by An Post. The other designers featured were Louise Kennedy, Lainey Keogh, John Rocha, Philip Treacy and Orla Kiely. Timothy Costelloe
Timothy John Costelloe SDB (born 3 February 1954) is an Australian prelate of the Catholic Church. He is the ninth archbishop of the Archdiocese of Perth, appointed in February 2012. Life and ministry Educated in Melbourne at St Peter's East Bentleigh and Salesian College, Chadstone, Costelloe commenced teacher training at Christ College, Melbourne, before joining the Salesians of Don Bosco in 1977. He graduated from Christ College in 1978. Professed as a Salesian in 1985, Costelloe was ordained as a priest on 25 October 1986 by Archbishop Sir Frank Little in Melbourne. After three years at Salesian College, Chadstone, he was transferred to Rome where he completed a Licentiate in Sacred Theology at the Salesian Pontifical University in 1991. On his return to Melbourne, Costelloe began lecturing in theology at Catholic Theological College in Melbourne.
