Coryneliales
The Coryneliales are an order of ascomycetous fungi within the monotypic subclass Coryneliomycetidae in the class Eurotiomycetes and within the subdivision Pezizomycotina. Species in this order are found almost exclusively in the tropics, primarily as a pathogen on the gymnosperm'' Podocarpus'', although it has been found on other plants like the Southern Hemisphere beech ''Nothofagus'', and ''Drimys ''Drimys'' is a genus of about eight species of woody evergreen flowering plants, in the family Winteraceae. Taxonomy The order was circumscribed by Fred Jay Seaver and Carlos E. Chardón in 1924. The taxonomy as of 2022 recognizes 2 families, 10 genera and 83 species: *Family Coryneliaceae **'' Caliciopsis'' – 36 species **'' Corynelia'' – 16 species **'' Coryneliopsis'' – 2 species **'' Coryneliospora'' – 2 species **'' Fit ...

Eremascus
''Eremascus'' is the sole genus in the fungal family ''Eremascaceae''. The genus was circumscribed by Eduard Eidam in 1883, while the family was circumscribed by Adolf Engler and E. Gilg in 1924. ''Eremascus'' is thought to be a basal fungus, from which ascomycetous yeasts formed. Taxa have a widespread distribution, and grow saprobically, especially on substrates with low water content. Morphology Species of ''Eremascus'' produce no arthrospores or conidia. There are generally eight spores In biology, a spore is a unit of sexual or asexual reproduction that may be adapted for dispersal and for survival, often for extended periods of time, in unfavourable conditions. Spores form part of the life cycles of many plants, algae, ... produced in each ascus. Eurotiomycetes
Eurotiomycetes is a large class of ascomycetes with cleistothecial ascocarps within the subphylum Pezizomycotina, currently containing around 3810 species according to the Catalogue of Life. It is the third largest lichen A lichen ( , ) is a composite organism that arises from algae or cyanobacteria living among filaments of multiple fungi species in a mutualistic relationship. It contains most of the fungi previously known morphologically as "Plectomycetes".

Drimys
''Drimys'' is a genus of about eight species of woody evergreen flowering plants, in the family Winteraceae. The species are native to the Neotropics, ranging from southern Mexico to the southern tip of South America. They are primitive dicots, associated with the humid temperate Antarctic flora of the Southern Hemisphere, which evolved millions of years ago on the ancient supercontinent of Gondwana. Members of the family generally have aromatic bark and leaves, and some are used to extract essential oils. ;Accepted species Seven species are currently accepted.''Drimys'' J.R.Forst. & G.Forst.
