Cory Johnson (basketball)
Cory Rockne Johnson (born April 5, 1988) is an American professional basketball player who last played for Ehime Orange Vikings in Japan. He played college basketball for Iowa State and Valparaiso. College career Johnson began his college career at Iowa State University where he played two seasons for the Cyclones before transferring to Valparaiso University. After sitting out a redshirt year, Johnson spent the 2009–10 and 2010–11 basketball seasons competing for the Crusaders. During his senior year, he was selected as a preseason Second Team All-Horizon League honoree and named MVP of the Lou Henson Award Tournament. The 2010–11 Valparaiso Crusaders men's basketball team represented Valparaiso University in the 2010–11 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Their head coach was Homer Drew. The was a professional basketball league in Japan that began in November 2005 as a six-team league. The league was operated as a competitor to the established Japan Super League which was run by the Japan Basketball Association, the official governing body of basketball in Japan. Over the next ten years the league saw continual expansion, with at least one new team joining every season, reaching 24 teams divided into two conferences in its final season in 2015–16. Turkish Airlines was the major sponsor of the 2014–15 and 2015–16 seasons. The bj league operated on the American sports franchise system. The 2012–13 LEB Oro season was the 17th season of the Liga Española de Baloncesto, a Spanish basketball league. It was named Adecco Oro as its sponsored identity. The champion of the regular season would be promoted to Liga ACB. The teams between second and ninth position will play a best of five games play off, where the winner would be promoted too to the higher division. The Korisliiga is the top-tier professional basketball league in Finland, comprising the top 12 teams of the country. In its current format, each team plays all other teams two times in the regular season, once at home and once away, for a total of 22 regular season games. The Dutch Basketball League (DBL), formerly the Eredivisie, was the highest professional basketball league in the Netherlands, run by the Federatie Eredivisie Basketball (FEB). Since 2021, the league has been replaced by the Belgian-Dutch BNXT League. The league had a closed system: to participate, a team has to have enough money and potential.
