Cory Gregson
Cory Gregson (born 4 September 1996) is an Australian rules footballer who played for the Geelong Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Gregson was drafted with pick 47 in the 2014 AFL Draft, and made his debut in the first round of the 2015 AFL season against Hawthorn Football Club, Hawthorn. Gregson previously came to media attention in August 2013 when his school, Sacred Heart College (Adelaide), Sacred Heart College, controversially would not permit him to make his league debut with the Glenelg Football Club due to him being required to play in an inter-school game against Rostrevor College. He attended Sheidow Park Primary School in the southern suburbs of Adelaide. In Round 6, 2015 Gregson was nominated for the 2015 AFL Rising Star award after having 18 disposals and 3 goals against Collingwood Football Club, Collingwood. Glenelg Football Club
Glenelg Football Club is an Australian rules football team, which plays in the South Australian National Football League. The club is known as the "Tigers" (or the "Bays"), and their home ground is ACH Group Stadium (formerly Glenelg Oval), located in the southern coastal suburb of Glenelg East, South Australia. Club history The inaugural meeting of the Glenelg Football Club was held at the Glenelg Town Hall on Wednesday 10 March 1920, to form a club for players west of South Road to play in the B Grade. The Hawthorn Football Club, nicknamed the Hawks, is a professional Australian rules football club based in Mulgrave, Victoria, that competes in the Australian Football League (AFL). 2015 AFL Season
The 2015 AFL season was the 119th season of the Australian Football League (AFL), the highest level senior Australian rules football competition in Australia, which was known as the Victorian Football League until 1989. The season featured eighteen clubs, ran from 2 April until 3 October, and comprised a 22-game home-and-away season followed by a finals series featuring the top eight clubs. The premiership was won by the Hawthorn Football Club for the 13th time and third time consecutively, after it defeated by 46 points in the 2015 AFL Grand Final.
