Salem Township is one of the eleven townships of Warren County, Ohio, United States, located in the central part of the county. The population was 5,215 at the 2020 census. It is the second smallest township in the county with 13,459 acres (54 km). It is one of fourteen Salem Townships statewide. Geography Located in the southern part of the county, it borders the following townships: * Washington Township - northeast * Harlan Township - southeast * Hamilton Township - southwest * Union Township - west * Turtlecreek Township - northwest It is bisected by the Little Miami River. During 1905 and 1906, Corwin produced the ''Gas-au-lec'', a five-place side-entrance tourer with a copper-jacketed four-cylinder four-cycle gasoline (petrol) engine of 40-45 hp (30-34 kW). USS ''Corwin'' was a steamer acquired by the Union Navy during the American Civil War. She was used by the Union Navy to patrol navigable waterways of the Confederacy to prevent the South from trading with other countries. Service history ''Corwin'' was a side wheel gunboat, wooden steamer built at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1849 for the United States Coast Survey, transferred to the United States Revenue-Marine in April 1861. Transferred to the United States Department of the Navy for special service in September 1861, under command of Lieutenant Thomas S. Phelps. ''Corwin'' was a Canadian drama television series which aired on CBC Television from 1969 to 1971. Premise Psychiatrist Greg Corwin ( John Horton) established a general practice for the inner city. Other regular characters included Corwin's older assistant Doc James (Alan King), Mrs. Mackie or "Mac" (Ruth Springford) and Sergeant Bromley ( Robert Warner). The debut episode, "Does Anybody Here Know Denny?", guest starred Margot Kidder. Kidder was nominated for the Canadian Film Award for Best Actress in a Non Feature for her performance, and Springford won the Canadian Film Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Non-Feature for the same episode. Cape Corwin
Cape Corwin is the easternmost point of Nunivak Island in the Bering Sea in the U.S. state of Alaska. In the Cup'ig language it is known as ''Cing'ig'' ("point", as in point of land). According to Donald Orth (1967, Dictionary of Alaska Place Names) the name marks the southwest entrance point to Etolin Strait. According to local usage the feature is misnamed on official United States Geological Survey maps. Since the name was reported to USGS by the USCGS in "about 1908" (the Board of Geographic Names decision was in 1906, and Baker reports USCGS began using it in 1899) it may have subsequently migrated to the next northernmost point of land, Cing'ig. The 1911 USCGS chart does not accurately represent the shape of the coast here; the point and the cape are not separately identifiable.
