Corvallis School District
The Corvallis School District (509J) is a school district serving an area of about 190 square miles including the city of Corvallis, Oregon and Adair Village along with large portions of unincorporated Benton County. As of 2016, the district had about 6,600 students at two high schools, two middle schools, eight elementary schools, one charter school, and one alternative school. The two high schools in the district are Corvallis High School and Crescent Valley High School. History In 1850 the first school was established in Marysville (renamed Corvallis in 1853).David D. Corvallis High School (Oregon)
Corvallis High School (CHS) is a four-year Public school (government funded), public secondary school in Corvallis, Oregon. Originally established in 1910, the high school sat between the downtown area of Corvallis and Oregon State University. In 1935, a new school was built on what was then considered the far northern edge of the town on approximately 25 acres. In 2005, a third structure was built on the site of the former one in what is now considered a central part of the city. Corvallis High School is one of two traditional secondary schools in the Corvallis School District, the other being Crescent Valley High School on the northern edge of the city. Crescent Valley High School
Crescent Valley High School, also known as CV, is a four-year public secondary school in Corvallis, Oregon, United States. Opened in 1971 in a rural location north of the city, it is one of the two traditional high schools of the Corvallis School District. Academics Courses are sometimes shared with Corvallis High School. In 2008, 79% of the school's seniors received their high school diploma. Of 243 students, 192 graduated, 39 dropped out, 1 received a modified diploma, and 11 are still in high school. In 2010, a student at the school was honored as a Presidential Scholar, one of three from Oregon. There have been two other Presidential Scholars from this school in the past ten years.
