Corso Italia is a neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, situated on St. Clair Avenue, St. Clair Avenue West, between Westmount Avenue (just east of Dufferin Street) and Lansdowne Avenue (Toronto), Lansdowne Avenue. It is contained within the larger city-recognized neighbourhood of Corso Italia-Davenport. The neighbourhood includes numerous cafés, clothing shops, shoe stores, restaurants, food markets, as well as several Gelato, gelaterias and bakeries. The community is considered Toronto's second Italian ethnic enclave after Little Italy, Toronto, Little Italy on College Street (Toronto), College Street. Earlscourt is a neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is centred on St. Clair Avenue West, with Dufferin Street, Davenport Road, and Old Weston Road forming its boundaries. It is contained within the larger city-recognized neighbourhood of Corso Italia-Davenport. Earlscourt Park is located on the south side of St. Clair between Caledonia Park Road and Lansdowne Avenue. History Earlscourt began as a squatter settlement in the early 20th century and annexed by the City of Toronto in 1910. It was initially settled by British and Scottish immigrants. During World War I, the area had some of the highest enlistment rates in the British Empire. Several of the original settler shacks are still visible in the area. After the war the area became the centre of Toronto's Italian community, and it has remained a centre for Italian culture in Toronto. Carleton Village
Carleton Village is a neighbourhood in the city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is centered along Davenport Road, south of St. Clair Avenue West and surrounded on the other three sides by railway lines. The CNR/CPR mainline to the west, the CNR railway lines to the east, and the CPR east–west railway lines to the south. The at grade crossing of two separate lines is referred to as the ''Davenport Junction''. Metrolinx is working to eliminate this crossing to improve service and safety with a flyover to carry GO Train traffic. The separatio will also create green space for residents. Regal Heights
Regal Heights is a neighbourhood located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is classified as a part of the Corso Italia (Toronto), Corso Italia-Davenport, Toronto, Davenport neighbourhood by the City of Toronto. and is situated on the western crest of the Davenport escarpment. Oakwood Village, formerly known as Oakwood–Vaughan, is a neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Located in the former suburb of York, the neighbourhood is a Business Improvement Area (BIA); it has an annual arts festival and a public library built in 1997. Toronto has a large Italian Canadian community, with 30.3 per cent of the ethnic Italians in Canada living in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) as of 2021.
