Corrobinnie Hill Conservation Park
__NOTOC__ Corrobinnie Hill Conservation Park is a protected area in the Australian state of South Australia located on the Eyre Peninsula in the gazetted locality of Pinkawillinie about west of the town centre in Kyancutta. The conservation park was proclaimed on 25 August 1983 under the state's ''National Parks and Wildlife Act 1972''. Its name was derived from Corrobinnie Hill which is located within its boundaries. As of June 2016, the conservation park covered an area of . The land surrounding the conservation park which is crown land and which is described in cadastral terms as “allotment 1 of Deposited Plan No. 33659, Hundred of Hill” was dedicated on 11 November 1993 under the ''Crown Lands Act 1929'' as part of the conservation reserve known as the Pinkawillinie Conservation Reserve. Pinkawillinie, South Australia
Pinkawillinie is a locality in the north of Eyre Peninsula in South Australia. It is a rural grain and grazing area in marginal country near Goyder's Line within the District Council of Kimba. It draws its name from the cadastral Hundred bearing the same name which is mostly included in the modern bounded locality, however the locality includes several other Hundreds and the Pinkawillinie Conservation Park, all within the Kimba region. Settlement in this area was spurred by the completion of the railway line to Port Lincoln, which reached Buckleboo in 1926. A school was approved in 1929. It was originally intended that the residents would build it with assistance of a loan from the Government, however a poor season meant they were unable to proceed, so a portable building was supplied, and a head teacher announced for 1930. Pinkawillinie Conservation Park
The Pinkawillinie Conservation Park is north of Kimba, South Australia, Kimba on the inland side of Eyre Peninsula in South Australia. The park encompasses 130 000 hectares and abuts the Gawler Ranges National Park to the north west. There is limited 2wd access to the park and no facilities. The conservation park is categorised as an International Union for Conservation of Nature, IUCN IUCN protected area categories#Category VI – Protected Area with sustainable use of natural resources, Category VI protected area. Kyancutta, South Australia
Kyancutta is a small wheatbelt town at the junction of the Eyre and Tod Highways on the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia. Once a busy town with an airport, Kyancutta is now nearly a ghost town, acting only as a centre for the agricultural districts surrounding it, as well as passing tourists. History The town was established in 1917 to support the surrounding agricultural lands.
