"Corner Boys" is the eighth episode of the fourth season of the HBO original series ''The Wire''. Written by Richard Price from a story by Ed Burns & Richard Price, and directed by Agnieszka Holland, it originally aired on November 5, 2006. Plot School Prez takes his second class of the day. He sets them a problem requiring division of apples between people. Randy is distracted by his classmate Calvin. Prez asks Calvin the answer and Calvin guesses correctly. He explains his rationale to the class: when going through the problem with the previous class, Prez tapped the correct answer several times, leaving chalk marks around it. After school Randy walks home with Michael and his younger brother Bug. Michael quizzes Randy about how he was able to return to school and Randy keeps quiet about his involvement with the police. The Wire
''The Wire'' is an American Crime film, crime drama Television show, television series created and primarily written by author and former police reporter David Simon. The series was broadcast by the cable network HBO in the United States. ''The Wire'' premiered on June 2, 2002, and ended on March 9, 2008, comprising 60 episodes over five seasons. Ervin Burrell
Ervin H. Burrell is a fictional character on the HBO drama ''The Wire'', played by Frankie Faison. Burrell was an officer in the Baltimore Police Department who ascended from Deputy Commissioner of Operations to Commissioner over the course of the show. William Rawls
William A. "Bill" Rawls is a fictional character on the HBO drama ''The Wire'', played by actor John Doman. Slim Charles
Slim Charles is a fictional character in the HBO drama ''The Wire'', played by Anwan Glover. An enforcer for the Barksdale Organization and later the top lieutenant of kingpin Proposition Joe, he is portrayed as principled, loyal, and competent throughout his career. The saga of the Barksdale Organization and the Stanfield Organization makes up the backbone of ''The Wire''. Proposition Joe
Joseph Stewart, better known as "Proposition Joe" or "Prop Joe", is a fictional character on the HBO drama ''The Wire'', played by Robert F. Chew. Joe is an Eastside drug lord who prefers a peaceful solution to business disputes when possible.
