The New York Entomological Society and other entomological societies in New York have produced a number of scientific journals since the mid-19th century, some of which have moved between a set of similar societies. ''Bulletin of the Brooklyn Entomological Society'' The ''Bulletin of the Brooklyn Entomological Society'' was an academic journal which focused on entomology. It was published by the Brooklyn Entomological Society. In 1885, it was suspended after volume 7, and was merged with ''Papilio'' to form '' Entomologica Americana''. The journal was later resumed in 1912, as ''Bulletin of the Brooklyn Entomological Society (new series)'', starting at Volume 8. It then ceased publication with the double volume 59-60 in June 1966, shortly before the Brooklyn Entomological Society merged with the New York Entomological Society. Annals ( la, annāles, from , "year") are a concise historical record in which events are arranged chronologically, year by year, although the term is also used loosely for any historical record. Scope The nature of the distinction between annals and history is a subject based on divisions established by the ancient Romans.
