Accrediting Council For Independent Colleges And Schools
The Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) is a non-profit education corporation that was recognized until 2021 by the United States Department of Education as an independent and autonomous national accrediting body. The accreditor's status worsened after a USA Today article in February 2020 revealed that ACICS had accredited a sham university called Reagan National University. ACICS was established in 1912. At one time it accredited 245 institutions of higher education offering undergraduate and graduate diplomas and degrees in both traditional formats and through distance education. ACICS is incorporated in Virginia and operates from offices in Washington, D.C. Abraham Laboriel
Abraham Laboriel López Sr. (born July 17, 1947) is a Mexican-American bassist who has played on over 4,000 recordings and soundtracks. ''Guitar Player'' magazine called him "the most widely used session bassist of our time". Laboriel is the father of drummer Abe Laboriel Jr. and of producer, songwriter, and film composer Mateo Laboriel. He is ranked No. 42 on ''Bass Player'' magazine's list of "The 100 Greatest Bass Players of All Time". Biography Laboriel was born in Mexico City. Sara Gazarek
Sara Gazarek is an American jazz singer from Seattle. Life and career Gazarek was born in Seattle, Washington and moved to Los Angeles in 2000 to attend the Thornton School of Music at the University of Southern California. In college her teachers included Carmen Bradford, John Clayton, and Tierney Sutton. Clayton produced her first album, ''Yours'' (2005). The album was a critical and commercial success with a top ten ranking in the ''Billboard'' Traditional Jazz Charts as well as being the top album download in iTunes for Jazz in Germany and France. Clayton also produced her second album, ''Return to You'' (2007). She recorded ''Where Time Stands Still'' (2010) with the German band Triosence.
