Cornaredo Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Lugano, Switzerland. It is used mostly for football matches. It is a home ground of FC Lugano. The stadium is able to hold 15,000 people and was built in 1951. The stadium has 5,000 seats and 10,000 standing places. Giancarlo Galli (6 March 1931 – 6 November 2022), commonly known as Carlo Galli (), was an Italian footballer who played as a striker. Club career Galli played for 16 seasons (305 games, 111 goals) in the Italian Serie A for U.S. Città di Palermo, A.S. Roma, A.C. Milan, Udinese Calcio, Genoa C.F.C. and S.S. Lazio. He was one of manager Giuseppe Viani, Giuseppe "Gipo" Viani's favourite players, and he coached while at both Palermo and Roma, before joining him at Milan in 1956, in exchange for an ageing Gunnar Nordahl. Benito "Veleno" Lorenzi (; 20 December 1925 – 3 March 2007) was an Italian footballer born in Borgo a Buggiano, province of Pistoia. He played as a striker. Club career Throughout his career (1947–1960), Lorenzi played with Italian clubs Inter and Alessandria in Serie A, Empoli and Brescia in Serie B, and Varese in Serie C.
