Cormons or Cormòns ( sl, Krmin, german: Kremaun) is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about northwest of Trieste and about west of Gorizia, on the border with Slovenia. Cormons borders the following municipalities: Brda (Slovenia), Capriva del Friuli, Chiopris-Viscone, Corno di Rosazzo, Dolegna del Collio, Mariano del Friuli, Medea, Moraro, San Floriano del Collio, San Giovanni al Natisone. Cormons Railway Station
Cormons ( it, Stazione di Cormons) is a railway station serving the town of Cormons, in the region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, northern Italy. The station is located on the Udine–Trieste railway. The train services are operated by Trenitalia. History The station should have been located on the Cormons-Redipuglia railway, however construction of the line never finished and therefore trains never ran on this line. Until 1918 it was one of the last Austro Hungarian stations before the border with Italy, the latter ran along Iudrio River. Its Habsburg heritage is visible by the building style. Valentino Pittoni
Valentino Pittoni (german: Valentin Pittoni; 23 May 1872 – 11 April 1933) was a socialist politician from Trieste, who was mainly active in Austria-Hungary. As a follower of Austromarxism and militant of the Social Democratic Workers Party of Austria (SDAPÖ), he came to oppose both Italian irredentism and Slovenian nationalism. Boris Podrecca
Boris Podrecca (born 30 January 1940 in Belgrade) is a Slovenes, Slovene-Italy, Italian architect and urban designer living in Vienna, Austria. Podrecca is considered by some critics a pioneer of postmodernism. With some of his early works, such as the neuro-physiological institute at Stahremberg Palace (1982), he took a new, more tolerant attitude towards historical architectural forms. Biography He was born in Belgrade, Serbia (then in Kingdom of Yugoslavia, Yugoslavia), to a Slovenes, Slovene father and a Serbs, Serb mother. Sergio Marcon
Sergio Marcon (born 9 November 1970) is an Italian former footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He played for several Italian clubs during his career which lasted from the 1980s to the 2000s. Football career Born in Cormons, Marcon started his career at Sampdoria. He then played some minor clubs. He followed Fidelis Andria promoted to Serie B in summer 1992. Denis Godeas
Denis Godeas (born 25 July 1975) is an Italian assistant coach for Italian Serie D club Cjarlins Muzane. He amassed Serie B totals of 364 games and 109 goals over the course of 13 seasons, mainly at the service of Triestina.
