Cork Intermediate A Hurling Championship
The Cork Intermediate A Hurling Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the Co-Op Superstores Cork Intermediate A Hurling Championship and abbreviated to the Cork IAHC) is an annual hurling competition organised by the Cork County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association and contested by the second tier intermediate clubs in the county of Cork in Ireland. It is the fourth tier overall in the entire Cork hurling championship system. The Cork Intermediate Championship was introduced in 1909 as a competition that would bridge the gap between the senior grade and the junior grade. At the time of its creation it was the second tier of Cork hurling. In its soon-to-be introduced format, the Cork Intermediate A Championship will begin in April. 2022 Cork Intermediate A Hurling Championship
The 2022 Cork Intermediate A Hurling Championship was the third staging of the Cork Intermediate A Hurling Championship and the 113th staging overall of a championship for middle-ranking intermediate hurling teams in Cork. The draw for the group stage placings took place on 8 February 2022. The championship ran from 29 July to 9 October 2022. The final was played on 9 October 2022 at Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork, between Cloughduv and Dungourney, in what was their first ever meeting in the final. Dungourney won the match by 1-16 to 0-13 to claim their first ever championship title. Coachford () is a village in County Cork, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. It is located on the north side of the River Lee (Ireland), River Lee. Aghabullogue GAA are a Gaelic Athletic Association club in County Cork, Ireland. They are affiliated to the Cork County Board and play in the mid-Cork (Muskerry) division of Cork GAA. Aghabullogue cater for both hurling and Gaelic football. History Aghabullogue have a long tradition of hurling. In 1890, they won the Cork Senior Hurling Championship. By the rules of the GAA at that time, this victory allowed Aghabullogue to go on and represent Cork in the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship. They later collected a Munster title following a victory over Kerry. There was controversy in the subsequent All-Ireland final when an Aghabullogue men left the field after one of the players had his toe broken by a Wexford man's hurley. The Munster Intermediate Club Hurling Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the AIB Munster GAA Hurling Intermediate Club Championship) is an annual hurling competition organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association and contested by the champion intermediate clubs in the province of Munster in Ireland. Muskerry GAA
Muskerry GAA is a Gaelic football and hurling division located in the middle region of County Cork, Ireland. It is one of eight divisions of Cork GAA County Board. The division includes clubs from areas to the west of Cork city stretching to the county bounds with Kerry. Its name is derived from the ancient Gaelic kingdom of Múscraige which, following the Norman conquest, now encompasses the baronies of Muskerry West and Muskerry East. These baronies, or half-baronies, include towns such as Macroom, Ballincollig, and Ballingeary. Muskerry GAA is bordered by Carrigdhoun GAA and Carbery GAA divisions to the south and by Duhallow GAA to the north. Watergrasshill GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the parish of Watergrasshill, County Cork, Ireland. The club is affiliated to Cork GAA and is part of the Imokilly division. Currently, the club fields teams in hurling and camogie, with no Gaelic football teams. History The club was founded in 1928. It was predominantly a Junior B hurling club for much of its early existence, winning an East Cork B hurling championship in 1947. Blackrock National Hurling Club is a Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club located on the southside of Cork City, Ireland. Carrigaline GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the town of Carrigaline in County Cork, Ireland. The club fields both Gaelic football and hurling teams in competitions organised by Cork County Board. The club is part of the Carrigdhoun division of Cork.
