Bahia Corinthian Yacht Club
Bahia Corinthian Yacht Club (BCYC) is a yacht club located in Newport Beach, Orange County, California. Description In 1958 ten yachtsmen founded the club as "Bahia Yacht Club" in space leased from the Balboa Bay Club. Initially, most of the members were Southern California yacht racing sailors. In 1968, the club joined with the Orange Coast Yacht Club and changed its name to "Bahia Corinthian Yacht Club". The club leased space for many years from the Irvine Company, and purchased the land and marina in 1993. The clubhouse, dedicated in 1971, has a main dining room and outdoor seating. Wet and dry slips are available for members for a monthly fee. The wet slips can accommodate boats up to 80 feet in length, and the dry slips boats up to 25 feet in length. The club is open 5 days a week, and has a full-time dock staff and shore boat. Corinthian Sailing Club
The Corinthian Sailing Club is a private yacht club located in Dallas, Texas, on the shore of White Rock Lake (United States). History CSC was formally incorporated in June 1939 by Tom Nash, Frank Parker and Wilfred Bruce. It was the third club to be established at White Rock Lake. Dallas Sailing Club (DSC) had been chartered in 1928, and in 1935 eleven Snipe sailors left DSC and formed the ''West Shore Sailing Club'', changing the name to ''White Rock Sailing Club'' (WRSC) that same year. Snipe Fleet 1 moved from DSC to WRSC. The Snipe sailors, and Snipe Fleet number 1, moved from WRSC to CSC in 1993. In the beginning Snipes were the primary boats at CSC, although CSC members were also racing Seagulls and Lightnings in the early 1940s. Lightning Fleet 35 was organized in 1940, the Y flyer fleet in the 1950s, Rebel Fleet 24 in 1960, and Flying Scot Fleet 23 followed in the early 1960s. The Corinthian Yacht Club of Philadelphia is a yacht club near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Its clubhouse and dock are located at 300 W. 2nd Street in Essington, Pennsylvania. History The club was established on January 12, 1892, by 13 members of the Quaker City Yacht Club who split off to establish their own organization because of a schism in the older club. The Royal Corinthian Yacht Club is a watersports organisation based at Burnham-on-Crouch, Essex. History Early history The club was founded at Erith, Kent in 1872 and moved to Burnham-on-Crouch, Essex in 1892. The Club provided the crew for the '' Endeavour'' in Thomas Sopwith's America's Cup Challenge in 1934 after a strike of Sopwith's professional crew.
