Corey Williams (born August 17, 1980) is a former American football defensive tackle. He was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the sixth round of the 2004 NFL draft. He played college football at Arkansas State. Williams has also played for the Cleveland Browns and Detroit Lions. College career After graduating from Harmony Grove High School, Williams played as a defensive lineman for Arkansas State from 2000-2003. He majored in sport management. Professional career Green Bay Packers Williams was originally selected by the Green Bay Packers in the sixth round (179th overall) in the 2004 NFL Draft. In his rookie season, he played in 12 games and finished the season with 24 tackles. He made his NFL debut at the Carolina Panthers on September 13. Corey Williams (born April 24, 1970) is an American retired professional basketball player and current interim head coach for the Texas Tech Red Raiders of the Big 12 Conference. He is the former men's basketball head coach of Stetson University. A 6'2" (1.88 m) point guard from Oklahoma State University, Williams was selected by the Chicago Bulls in the second round of the 1992 NBA draft. He played one season with the Bulls, averaging 2.3 points in 35 games as a reserve on a team which won the NBA Championship. He then spent the 1993-94 season with the Minnesota Timberwolves, scoring 11 points in 4 games. He spent the majority of the 1994 season with the Oklahoma City Cavalry of the Continental Basketball Association. He is best known for his time spent in the Australian National Basketball League (NBL), earning league MVP honors in 2010 with the Townsville Crocodiles.
