Jeremy Bernard Corbyn (; born 26 May 1949) is a British politician who served as Leader of the Opposition and Leader of the Labour Party from 2015 to 2020. On the political left of the Labour Party, Corbyn describes himself as a socialist. He has been Member of Parliament (MP) for Islington North since 1983. Corbyn sits in the House of Commons as an independent, having had the whip suspended in October 2020. Piers Richard Corbyn (born 10 March 1947) is an English weather forecaster, businessman, anti-vaxxer and conspiracy theorist. Born in Wiltshire, Corbyn was raised in Shropshire where he attended Adams' Grammar School. He was awarded a first class BSc degree in physics from Imperial College London in 1968 and a postgraduate MSc in astrophysics from Queen Mary College, University of London, in 1981. Corbyn was a member of the Labour Party and served as a councillor in the London Borough of Southwark from 1986 to 1990. He is the elder brother of former Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn. Corbyn Morris (14 August 1710 – 24 December 1779) was an English official and economic writer. Life A commissioner of customs, Morris was employed during the administrations of Pelham and Newcastle in "conciliating opponents". In 1751 he was appointed by Pelham secretary of the customs and salt duty in Scotland, and was sent there to inquire into the state of the customs and smuggling. As an administrator he regulated the method of weighing tobacco and suppressed the importation, under the Spanish duty, of French wines into Scotland removed a grievance of which English merchants had long complained. He claimed that the first five years of his secretaryship raised more money from the customs in Scotland than in the preceding period since the Anglo-Scottish Union. Frederick Corbyn
Frederick Corbyn (11 May 1791 – 7 October 1853) was an English surgeon who worked in Calcutta and was the founder of one of the first scientific journals published from India ''The India Review of Works on Science, and Journal of Foreign Sciences and the Arts; embracing Mineralogy, Geology, Natural History, Physics &c.'' (1836-1842). He also edited the ''India Journal of Medical and Physical Science'' (1836-42), a medical journal begun in 1834. Corbyn joined the Bengal Army in 1813 and served with the 25th native infantry in Nepal. He managed the store from 1817 and became a civil surgeon in Allahabad in 1822. He became full surgeon in 1826. In 1831 he became garrison surgeon at Fort William. He moved to Lahore in 1843 and died at Simla on October 7, 1853. A memorial tablet is in Christ Church, Simla.
