Corbett is an unincorporated community on the Columbia River in eastern Multnomah County, Oregon, United States. It is located on the Historic Columbia River Highway (a.k.a. Crown Point Highway) between the Sandy River and Crown Point. Corbett was named for prominent pioneer Senator Henry W. Corbett. Senator Corbett purchased a farm in the area in 1885. After several name changes, the post office in the area was named "Corbett" in 1895. Corbett's ZIP Code is 97019. Corbett School District runs the Corbett School and the Corbett Charter School. David P. Stief (January 29, 1956 – May 28, 2000) was American football wide receiver in the National Football League for the St. Louis Cardinals and the Washington Redskins. Born in Portland, Oregon, he played college football at Portland State University and was drafted in the seventh round of the 1978 NFL Draft. Dave Stief played a key role in Mouse Davis’ early Run-and-Shoot offenses at Portland State. During his four seasons, Stief set PSU career records for most touchdown receptions (22) and most receiving yards (2,581). He also set a PSU season record for most touchdown catches in a season (12 in 1977). Billy Oskay
Billy Oskay is an American violinist and record producer. Biography Billy Oskay was born and raised in Kingston, New York, where he first learned to play the violin at the age seven. In 1970, he began studying under Eugen Prokop at the International Academy of Music in Palma de Mallorca, Spain and in 1971 earned his master's degree in music from Ball State University in Indiana. Oskay was the head of the music department at Oregon's Mt. Angel College, and later joined the swing combo Everything's Jake. Julius Meier
Julius L. Meier (December 31, 1874 – July 14, 1937) was an American businessman, civic leader, and politician in the state of Oregon. The son of the Meier & Frank department store founder, he would become a lawyer before entering the family business in Portland.
