Coral Fang
''Coral Fang'' is the third and most recent studio album by the punk rock band The Distillers. Following the underground success of their second album ''Sing Sing Death House'' (2002), The Distillers signed a major label record deal with Sire Records. After recruiting lead guitarist Tony "Bradley" Bevilacqua, The Distillers began recording new material between May and June 2003 with producer Gil Norton at The Site in San Rafael, California. Written and recorded amidst a period of intense media controversy surrounding the band's frontwoman Brody Dalle, ''Coral Fang'' was seen as a conscious effort to distance the band from their California scene origins following Dalle's divorce from Rancid frontman Tim Armstrong, and featured a more diverse sound primarily influenced by grunge. The Distillers
The Distillers are an American punk rock band, formed in Los Angeles, California in 1998 by vocalist and guitarist Brody Dalle. Dalle co-wrote, played guitar and provided lead vocals for nearly every track on the band's three albums. After the breakup of the band in 2006, Dalle and Distillers guitarist Tony Bevilacqua went on to form Spinnerette. History The Distillers first came together in late 1998, when Australian-born guitarist Brody Dalle met bassist Kim Chi and the two bonded over their love for playing punk rock. Ramones
The Ramones were an American punk rock band that formed in the New York City neighborhood of Forest Hills, Queens, in 1974. They are often cited as the first true punk rock group. London-Sire Records was an American-based record label owned by Warner Music Group, created in August 1999 with the merging of Warner Music Group's struggling Sire Records Group and the US division of London Recordings, which WMG had acquired from Universal Music Group following their merger with PolyGram in December 1998. Seymour Stein remained at the helm as CEO, with Peter Koepke acting as co-head. However, the binding of the two companies proved to be largely unsuccessful, and failed to produce a hit. The Warped Tour was a traveling rock tour that toured the United States plus three or four stops in Canada annually each summer from 1995 until 2019. It was the largest traveling music festival in the United States and the longest-running touring music festival to date in North America. Following the first Warped Tour, the skateboard shoe manufacturer Vans became the tour’s main sponsor, when it then became known as the Vans Warped Tour.
