Cor Dekker
Cor Dekker (born 9 October 1987) is a Dutch-born Norwegian professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Career Dekker partnered with Robert Wagner in the 2016 PDC World Cup of Darts, and after beating Gibraltar in the first round, they took on the Scotland team of Gary Anderson and Robert Thornton. After taking Anderson to a last leg decider in the singles, Dekker needed 52 to win, but Anderson took out a 160 checkout to win the match. Dekker made his PDC European Tour debut on the 2019 Austrian Darts Championship, but lost to Dietmar Burger in the first round 6–3. Bovenkarspel
Bovenkarspel is a town in the municipality of Stede Broec in the Dutch province of North Holland. Until 1979, it was a separate municipality. PDC European Tour
The PDC European Tour is a series of darts tournaments held across Europe organized by the Professional Darts Corporation. Starting in 2012 with five events, the number of events has steadily risen with eight held in 2013 and 2014, nine in 2015, ten in 2016, twelve in 2017, thirteen in both 2018 and 2019, and thirteen once more in 2020 (although that was reduced to four, owing to the COVID-19 pandemic), and only two events took place in 2021, with a return to thirteen events in 2022. These events see the top players on the PDC ProTour Order of Merit compete against players from six different regional qualifiers. Currently the prize fund for each tournament is £140,000, with £25,000 going to the winner. The 2019 Gibraltar Darts Trophy is the thirteenth of thirteen PDC European Tour events on the 2019 PDC Pro Tour. The tournament is taking place at the Victoria Stadium, Gibraltar, from 27–29 September 2019. It features a field of 48 players and £140,000 in prize money, with £25,000 going to the winner. Michael van Gerwen was the defending champion after defeating Adrian Lewis 8–3 in the previous year's final, but he lost in the third round 6–3 to Nathan Aspinall. Dave Chisnall hit his first European Tour nine-dart finish in his quarter-final against James Wade, which was the fifth European Tour nine-darter of 2019, equalling the record set in the inaugural year in 2012. Dietmar Burger
Dietmar Burger (born 19 July 1968) is an Austrian professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Career Burger won the Czech Open back-to-back in 2005 and 2006 and then won the Finnish Open in 2007, an event previously won by some of the game's biggest names, such as Phil Taylor, John Lowe, Andy Fordham and Raymond van Barneveld. In 2008, Burger began playing in the GDC, an organisation affiliated with the Professional Darts Corporation where the highest ranked player earns qualification to the PDC World Darts Championship. Burger won the season's first tournament in Cologne, but early exits in Niedernhausen and another Ramada Hotel led him to slip down the GDC rankings. Burger also went on to win the Austrian National Championship for a second straight year. The 2019 Austrian Darts Championship was the tenth of thirteen PDC European Tour events on the 2019 PDC Pro Tour. The tournament took place at the Multiversum Schwechat, Vienna, Austria, from 30 August–1 September 2019. Robert Thornton (darts Player)
Robert "Bob" Thornton (born 17 July 1967) is a Scottish professional darts player, who is the current World Seniors champion. Thornton is a three-time major winner between the BDO and PDC, having won the World Masters in 2007, UK Open in 2012, and World Grand Prix in 2015. He is also a former finalist at the Players Championship Finals in 2009 and Grand Slam of Darts in 2013. In addition, Thornton has reached three World Championship quarter-finals across both organisations and was a participant in the Premier League in 2013, 2014 and 2016. Askim () is a town and a former municipality in (from January 1, 2020) Indre Østfold Kommune in the former county of Østfold county (from January 1, 2020 a part of Viken county), Norway.
