Copa Premier Centroamericana
The Copa Premier Centroamericana (English: ''Central American Premier Cup'') is an annual pre-season football tournament that features eight Central American teams. It is held every year since 2019. History The friendly tournament was announced on 12 April 2019. It features eight clubs which enter the tournament by invitation, prioritizing those considered most popular and successful in the area. The eight clubs are divided into two groups of four. The top two qualify to semifinals and the winners play for the trophy. The first edition will be played in 2019 and it will be contested by Alianza F.C., C.D. Árabe Unido, Comunicaciones F.C., C.S. UNCAF Interclub Cup
The UNCAF Club Tournament was an annual international football competition held in the UNCAF region (Central America). The competition was open to the leading domestic club teams in the region. The winners of each national league qualified automatically. It also provided qualification places for the CONCACAF Champions' Cup, to which the top three teams advanced. Starting in 2008, all of the Central American nations have one or two teams qualifying directly to the expanded CONCACAF Champions League, thus this tournament ceased to be played. The tournament had been known as the ''Copa Fraternidad Centroamericana'' from 1971 to 1983. It was discontinued between 1983 and 1996, when it was revived as the ''Torneo Grandes de Centroamerica''. CONCACAF League
The CONCACAF League was an annual continental club football competition organized by CONCACAF as its second-tier continental competition. It was announced on 8 May 2017. The competition uses a knockout cup format with each round having two legs. The top six teams proceed to the CONCACAF Champions League. From 2019 to 2022, the tournament featured 22 teams, an increase from 16 in the 2017 and 2018 editions. The competition ended after the 2022 edition due to the expansion of the CONCACAF Champions League, starting with the 2024 edition. Two regional cup competitions – the Central American Cup and the Caribbean Cup – were created as qualifying competitions of the CONCACAF Champions League.
