Copa Federación Centro
The Copa Federación Centro (), or the Castilian Federation Cup, was a football competition contested by the best clubs from Central Spain (which encompassed Madrid and the wider Castile region). It was the second-tier competition for the said region after the Campeonato Regional Centro. The competition was formed and reformed numerous times in its 20-year-history between 1923 and 1943, going from a knock-out format to a league mode of all against all. Throughout the editions, the Castilian Cup took different names. Its first version was known as the Copa Madrid (1923–1928), then it developed into the Copa Castilla (1933–1934), and Copa Presidente de la Federación Castellana (1940–1944). Its first edition was organized in 1923 by the and the last was in 1953 under the same name. Real Sociedad Gimnástica Española (RSGE), also known as Gimnástica de Madrid, was a sports club based in Madrid, Spain. It was officially founded as an amateur sports, amateur gymnastics club on 2 March 1887 by Narciso Masferrer under the name "Sociedad Gimnástica Española". The club's association football, football section started activities in 1907, winning four Campeonato Regional Centro, Centro Championships (1910, 1911, 1912, 1914). In 1915 King of Spain, Alfonso XIII, granted the club Royal title, therefore the institution changed its name to "Real Sociedad Gimnástica Española". Estadio Chamartín was a multi-use stadium in Madrid, Spain. It was initially used as the stadium of Real Madrid matches before the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium opened in 1947. The stadium held 22,500 people and was built in 1924. The stadium was inaugurated on 17 May 1924, with a 3–2 victory for Real Madrid against Newcastle United. Ramón Olalquiaga Borne (30 August 1898 – 31 January 1990), sometimes spelled as Ramón Olalkiaga, was a Spanish footballer who played as a forward for Athletic Madrid, and later a coach, engineer and professor of agronomy. Club career Born in Gipuzkoa to a local veterinarian, he studied Marianist studies in San Sebastián and later studied agronomic engineering in Madrid. Félix Pérez Marcos (13 June 1901 – 12 September 1983) was a Spanish footballer. Club career At club level, he played for the three main teams in Madrid at the time: Real Madrid, Racing de Madrid and Atlético Madrid.
